Canceled due to hopelessness, lack of money & skill

...ask your questions in the appropriate forums BUT document your build here...preferably in a single thread...dates for updates, are appreciated....

Roberta, you don't have to have a kitchen or bathroom in it right away. Just finish the sides and top and add a counter and counter top and use it 'as-is'. Or, use it as an extra bedroom or party room.

If you really can't look at it any more and know for certain that you won't ever use it, tear off the sides and top and sell it as a flatbed trailer. The money from the sale can be used to get a smaller trailer project or teardrop. That big one was a lot to bite off and chew....

When you look at a project be it big or small look at it as a bunch of small steps.

if you think of the whole build thing at once no one would build.

Like the hoover dam builders build a form pour concret build a form pour concret and before you know it we have a dam

so don't give up but I too like to tent camp.

İf you begin once you will see to finish it,
Late or near. To start is to finish. A day it would be finish.
İ hope you continue to build it.

+1

I've gotten note cards, and put ONE task on each of them. (for example "prime paint fenders")

Then, when I'm feeling lost or overwhelmed, I'll take one of those cards and do that task.

You will be surprised how good you feel when you get something done.....even if it's just making a shopping list.

Savor the little accomplishments and you don't get down on the whole project.

Here's a trick I learned when I temporarily tried my hand at outside sales. I would set a goal (20 cold calls, 1 new client, $2500 in sales, something like that) and once I reached that goal, I would treat myself to something. One time it would be a nice dinner out, a morning off, a new suit, something I wouldn't ordinarily do for myself. The good thing is that it kept me working and trying. The bad part is that I learned I sucked at sales and I stayed in way too long.

That rebuild will be really sweet when it gets done. Set small goals and keep at it. I just read this thread from the beginning and you started with such excitement and I know sometimes reality sets in, but I'd really like to see the final product.

I like the note card idea. I'm going to use that on my project
