Well for anyone that hasnt completly given up following my progress ive actualy made a fair bit but it was mostly grinding ,welding and flap sanding.
Im hoping by the end of today all the steel work will be finaly finished.
Had a good day yesterday and got all the front section and intermediate parts of the trailer complete and primed.
Ive put a topcoat on the whole thing in the dark so ill see how it looks this morning ,ill have to touch bits up later anyway but it needs to go back out in the weather so it was more for protection than anything else.
Ill post more pics today.
Heres a few from earlier yesterday.

Pretty much done with the chasis except for the center mount for the deck plate / rod tube.
I ended up cutting out the top rear crossmember and replacing it with 25 x 25 as im now going to put a tailgate over the draws ect for a cleaner finish and better weatherproofing.
Only managed to get a couple of hours in today but im only a matter of hours away from fitting the water tank, plumbing and electrical along with the floor then the cabins back on for the last time.
I should be able to keep up some decent momentum now as long as the money tree keeps flowering.

Heres a pic of the tailight pods and the recess the tailgate shuts into.

Got a first coat of paint on everything i could the other night as its been super hot here and this paint hates hot weather.
A bit rough in places but 90% is covered anyway

Looks Great Dale!
Glad to see you back at it, I know it takes a while to get back in your groove after taking a break.
And I can feel your pain.....I spent 3 hours grinding the other night, and nobody even noticed the next day?????
Guess we just have to do the time!

Thanks brian.
To be honest i had organised a few other people to do this for me as they would have been much faster and forseen some things i didnt.as it happens im realy happy with how it came out other than a couple of welds.
They have good penitration but are a bit ugly.
Ill grind them back and redo them or just linish them.
This all gets covered in checkerplate now anyway

Hi Dale, it's really good to see you are back in to it.
I think we all know what it is like with the areas that you seem to spend so much time on, then stand back and look at it  and wonder what you have done all day :NC

Yes! I think that's a dam good idea. The back is an area where you can suck in a lot if dust etc. Are you going to seal off that entire basement area :QM

Yea.
As soon as all the weldings done witch isnt far off ill cut the aluminium for the floor and fit it.
Then the plumbing and draws, tow vechile wiring ect then the cabin gos back on and the sides are completly filled in except for 2 drop down doors either side at the front and a tailgate at the rear.
Still not 100%how im going to build the draws yet, timber or folded aluminium or a combination of both

That slide system that Tony posted on here a while ago looked like it would work pretty well.

Hi Dale,
FYI, if you are interested.
We had an email this morning from Anaconda in Australia. They have a sale on this weekend (finishes monday 8th). They have the "RV Shades" that we are using for side awnings on our teardrop at $118.99, down from $169.99.
