The maiden build

So i got the go ahead from my girlfriend to start the buil early. I'm going with something extremely simple for my first build. My hope is to build something generic, then sell it, then buy a larger trailer and build something larger I can customize.

Here's how it's coming so far.

Personally I think we often make a lot of work for ourselves, and over complicate.

Function over form should rule here.

I'm on my first build also, and basic/simple has worked out well so far. I think once you and I have built one, we'll know a little more what we need in our next build. If my build can help with ideas , check it out in "Build Journals" as "My Simple Benroy. All the Pros here will have much more info for you, though. For availability of materials, I think my next one will be 4' wide rather than 5'. Good Luck.

Those plans look awfully familiar! I started out with them, completely redrew them in AutoCAD, modified them quite a bit, and ended up with the Scuttlebutt.

Looks like you have a very willing helper too!

That's great! I had to drag my son over to help me when I was at points I couldn't solo.. slowed things down a bit at times.
