So did I.
First I positioned the fenders in place to see where I thought they looked good. Then I marked the outline on the sidewalls.
To make sure I drilled the holes in the right location, I made a template from MDF by tracing the fender flange and clamped it to the sidewalls.
After the holes were drilled, I squirted sealant in each of the holes and inserted the carriage bolts. This is the inside view.
And here's the outside view,
After adhering welting to the fender flange, I squirted some more sealant around the carriage bolt and bolted the fenders using fender wash and nylok nuts. Finally, I used a hack saw to cut off the excess carriage bolt length.
