Man! That's coming along great! Very sweet build. It should be very light and solid to boot! Keep up the good work.
Any Idea or estimates of the finished weight?

My plan is to finish without slideout between 120 and 130 kg (265 to 285 lb) !

The slideout is only an option for later, because I do not need it travelling alone, but it's part of the concept.

Great looking build. Your moving right along. How thick is your stainless and what series? I think you said .6mm [26 gage US ] is that what you bought?

The pic with the Drill motor and rivet gun, looks like a AEG and a Gesipa, if so I have the same ones. Bought both in the mid 80's and still work fine. Good tools.

the stainless is 1.4301(AISI 304) and is 0.6mm thick.

the Suki riveting tool is 25 years old and similar to the gesipa.

The drill motor, I confess, is a 9.99 Euro motor of the no make "budget" I bought at a 20% off action for 7.99 Euro (new!).
I needed a new accumulator for my battery screwdriver and the drill plus a long cable was cheaper and more powerful !
I think I have it 13 years now !

But normally I prefer quality tools !
My big drill motor is a Bosch and I own it 22 years now. Need only new brushes every 15 years :-)

Only if I need a tool only once, I try a cheaper one.

But better take the box with the "5 years warranty" sticker and keep the receipt

Yesterday I got the bottom of my box !

Clecoed it today underneath my alu bars.





The left will become my baggage compartment, the bigger right will get a well to step in, that I can pull up during towing.

Drilled and deburred today all the holes for the connection between frame and deck ...



... and glued the deck with polyurethane Sikaflex 221 onto the frame and set all the rivets.

Long weekend and the polyurethan glue had time to harden last week !

I had to take away the front and rear bar because I forgot to seal between frame and bars with PU.

Glueed the bars now with PU to the frame and riveted all together again.

While the PU had time to harden, I built the lid for my baggage compartment.
It has to be solid, because I will sit and sleep on it later.
then riveted it with piano hinge to my frame.

Today I built the small wall, upon which the baggage door will rest and the support angles left and right.

A beauty of a build, I can see the orders coming in now...That is top notch fabrication. Yes very addictive and sweet.

I must say that this is quite inspiring. The detail and quality from a simple environment is motivating. Who needs the high dollar shop or big buck tools. A few of the right ones along with a vision and anything is possible! Keep up the great work!

Okay - a weekend without work, celebrating my past birthday at saturday with family, friends, pies, coffee and lasagne and at sunday with a great breakfast

But now I closed the two holes at the end of my deck with small sheets and the big hole with a tabletop.



Have to build folding legs for the tabletop which fold inside the frame when I sleep upon it.

The grey plastic box will become my step in bay, which can be lowered to the ground below the table to sit in a comfort way.
the connection between trailer and box I will make from tent fabric to prevent mosquitos from visiting my legs.

Clever....The hole in the floor reminds me of Wolfarmer's "standy" teardrop but I don't think his has tent fabric.

Making the legs for the table is painful and needs much time with my tools !



But the result will be satisfying ! It's worth the annoying work !

Cut the four legs and drilled the holes for the screws. That was simple.
But to cut a rectangular hole in which the crossbar fits perfect was a hour work.
But only three more to do !





The second one was faster - maybe tomorrow follows the second double leg.
