I had to shim up the door and had this left over,

3 pieces worked good but would have to shim the "striker" side,

I made a strike plate up and beveled the edge and it worked great!



Here's a little tip. Rub both the latch and strike plate with waxed paper and note how easily it works now! Waxed paper is made with carnauba wax. Good stuff. I also use it to make my table saw deck slicker than slick.

PV, could I trouble you to take a quick measurement for me? For that stainless steel folding wall mount table you have, what is the distance from the bottom edge of the mount to the working surface when it's in the upright position?

The reason I ask is because the top edge of my e track is at 36 inches. My countertops are at 40 and the e track butts right up against it at 36. I want to know if there is enough room to mount the brackets on top of the e track and still have the work surface level with my 40 inch countertops.

Also, is there enough clearance when it's folded down to have some e track running behind it or does it need to fold flush against the wall?

I finally did a water test to see if everything worked and in general it was great! Except... The sink connection leaked because I assume the treads were different from the sink,



To the fittings I connected the 1/2" hose to,



What thread is on the faucet end, anybody know?

And the shower was great, lots of pressure and super hot! Pump was pretty quiet as well, just have to get the right fittings for the sink.

I will be sleeping in the trailer for a couple nights in 2 weeks at the first race in West Virginia so need to start making sure all is well and finishing the details.

Had some scraps of diamond plate left over so had to use them,



My old 2x6 ramp I sanded and painted,

PV, I am about to drill for my water fill neck but I was worried about just screwing it to the aluminum. Is that what you did here or is there some sort of reinforcement on the backside in the interior wall?

I had screws long enough to go through the insulation into the interior plywood, made it very firm. I also put a lot of silicone behind it so it wouldn't leak.

I had to chase some water leaks in my sink lines which I was able to fix easily, so while I had water in the tank I fired up the water heater again. That is a great setup! The water is hot right away, I turned the water off for a second and the flame shuts off right away when it senses no water than fires right back up when the water is back on. Perfect trailer setup!

One more question...
I love your bed idea... I am nervous about how to attach it to the wall. My trailer has metal studs with 3/8" plywood on the walls. Should I put double sided legs? As in a leg in each corner. Also,,,, I don't weld so what do you think about using some folding table legs?

I love your bed idea... I am nervous about how to attach it to the wall. My trailer has metal studs with 3/8" plywood on the walls. Should I put double sided legs? As in a leg in each corner. Also,,,, I don't weld so what do you think about using some folding table legs?

Thanks! I have to say the beds work great.

I would use a piano hinge screwed to the plywood, when down it is a vertical load so would think it's fine. Mine is just screwed to the plywood and is good so far even with 3 people sitting on it. I looked for folding legs I could buy but did not find anything that would work, doesn't mean there isn't something though. Any small welding shop could do legs in a hr or so if you can't find anything.
