Congratulations Dave!

It's great to see the Atma on the road after following along with your build for all this time! My own teardrop obsession was fueled in no small part when I stumbled onto this build journal over a year ago! Since then, I have followed intently and incorporated many aspects of the design into my own build.

The Atma is truly a spectacular work of design, art, and craftsmanship. I hope you are able to have as much fun camping in it as you did building it! That is of course if you are able to find a break between tours!

Thanks again for all the help, ideas, inspiration, and of course entertainment! Cheers!

They will be at the Dam Gathering on this Wed. afternoon...it's maiden voyage, I'm looking forward to seeing your creation Dave! If you draft Debbie...they will catch all the bugs. Doug

Man, I wish I could join your caravan to the Dam, but.... :( :( Anyway, I'll take a look at Davis Creek. Hopefully the line for tours won't be so long there.  Great Job, Dave!!! Most impressive build that I've ever had a chance to see from start to finish. Can't wait to see it up close!!!

Hi Becky, thank you kind Lady. You go Girl!!

Rudyjr wrote:Dave, amazing job the trailer came out beautiful. I was just curious as to how much the weight ended up being on the finished trailer. Happy camping, Jim

Hi Jim, She came in just over 1,400 lbs. I'd say the extra 200 lbs was due to the .063 aluminum; heavy stuff.

It sure turned out nicely.

See you at the "Dam".

Thank you Johnny Sir!! You get a 'fast pass' to the front of the line! I'll be needing to get a tour of your beautiful Silver Nugget for my wife (I've told her how much I admired it)!

Hey Mike, You're right man; needs the graphics to be truly done! I'll have to install them after the gathering though. I might get the chrome strips on in time...

Yippie!!! We Dramped last night!!! :applause: :applause: :applause: Driveway camping with a low of 51 degrees outside and a little too warm inside; these little trailers are awesome. I'll get a few more shots up hopefully before we leave to the Dam Gathering.

Cheers,

Well, Kat and I have the honor of looking at this wonderful trailer more than anyone except Dave and Lisa.
We met them in Reno, and followed them to the Dam Gathering and most of the way back.

It towed great, no sway, jounce, or anything. Even when an 18 wheeler tried to take off the front bumper of Dave's car!!!

Here it is on the trip back home. That's Monstero (Debbie and Randy) leading the caravan.

And a shot of the AT in camp.

Dave did a great job on it. Unfortunately, we were hidden in the back, and it didn't get the exposure it deserved.

Dave and Lisa are great people. We had a blast camping with them.

Don't tell him, but Dave's pretty nice, almost as nice as his tear.....

I cannot express my appreciation for Sam and Kat and Debbie and Randy!!! Not only did they keep us 'in the cradle' all the way to and from the gathering, but are all terrific campers to boot! We are still blown away by their generosity and kindness to two real newbies. It was what we hoped Teardrop camping would be and much, much more. Lisa and I can't wait to camp with these guys again.

I'll hopefully have pictures of the AT all decked out with her chrome and logos soon.

Warmest Wishes,

Dave

The graphics look great! I'm assuming that you used application fluid, or else you did a great job sticking it on correctly on the first try. The is definitely a ultra-premiere DIY teardrop that is the envy of the entire teardrop building community. Congratulations!
