Hi All,

Does anyone have experience with the 8 inch memory foam mattress from spa-sensations? If so, what is your opinion?

no i got the 6'' memory foam from Wally World best sleep i get is on that thing

I used 8" for the td and now have 6" for the ct, both were from Walmart.

Very easy to remove cover and if you need to trim anything they cut like butter with an electric knife.

I love my 8" but will probably go with a 6" for my next trailer.

You can never loose sleep on a too good mattress , I have an 8" queen
It's just a bitch changing the sheets in my 7 x 16
As it seams like there is 4" less room then I would like size to side

I went with the 8" Night Therapy from Sam's Club. Good price and it has turned out to be very comfortable. We've had one trip in so far, but it was 4 days. I'd recommend it!

I was just talking about this sams-clu matattress with my nephew his a big boy and he loves his.

I slept in a rental travel trailer for the last week and I wish I had this mattress! That thing had a sheet of plywood and a 3" thick pseudo-mattress. We added egg crate, but my shoulder was into that plywood all week. If they carried that foam mattress in stock somewhere, I might have gone and bought another one!

I noticed this thread today and thought i'd share what my wife and i've done for a sleep system in our van-conversion...which we will also include in our trailer build.

Here is an image from my van build page on the Froli Sleep System i ordered/installed.

The FSS home page is here: frolisleepsystems.com. We ordered the full size kit. I think the weight of the parts is less than 8 pounds. Then i mounted it on an appropriately sized marine ply platform. Placed the foam on top and it's ready to sleep on. As for comfort? The morning after my wife and i woke up on our stick & brick home's sealy pillow top after spending 10 nights on the Froli in the Van after it's maiden voyage she asked when i was going to order a Froli to replace our home's mattress... the Froli is THAT comfortable!!! and supper light. A perfect combo for an RV. The only downside is my wife and i find ourselves snuggling into the late hours of the morning. The upside? We save on breakfast food cuz it's brunch time

Got the 6in memory foam mattress from Wal-Mart. It is only memory foam on one side so if you don't like it, you can flip it over.

Seems like Memory Foam is the forum favorite, in 5-8" thickness; but I have had problems sleeping on my queen-size Memory Foam ( T blankety-blank pedic ) for some years now (too soft), and want a "hard" but rollable/foldable/stackable? twin size mattress for my TTT. I've always slept well on hotel/motel type "hard" bedding, and wish to emulate that type of firmness at camp. A conventional twin mattress would work for me, but I don't see how I could squeeze it thru my doorway -32" high x 26" wide- so, a foam mattress or a futon or even exercise mats have to be inserted inside. A softer topper would have to be added later for my wife's tastes, but firm is the ticket for me. Any suggestions ? I'm not too worried about having condensation or cold transfer under the bedding either (Texas, you know). Have to start thinking about this for the coming fall completion (knock on wood !)

The Night Therapy at Sam's isn't a memory foam mattress per-se. The top couple of inches is, but the 2 layers below that are progressively more firm. The bottom 3" of the 8" mattress is actually considered a hard foam rubber. I was skeptical at first, because I didn't want a super soft mattress either. The reviews said 'good for big folks', 'surprisingly firm in a good way', etc. It IS surprisingly firm actually, surprised me anyway. Only the top 2" or so is soft. It's a very interesting mattress.

we upgraded our house bed for the costco Novaform gel memory foam... I really like it

if the funds are right I plan on getting a gel foam topper to put in the camper, but don't want to count my eggs before i've got chickens.

So I have a question about all these memory foam mattresses. We have one on our bed at home and while I love sleeping on it, in my experience, it doesn't seem like it would make for a good part time couch cushion. The longer I sit on the edge of the bed the deeper I end up sinking, but when I lay flat I'm fine.

Since our beds will double as couches I'd rather something that keeps it's shape but isn't super hard to sleep on. We plan to have two pieces (back of couch, seat of couch) that will combine when flat rather than one big futon-style mattress. Don't mind cutting something to fit the sizes we need.

What type of foam would work and what sources are people using to find theirs? Thanks!
