That's the problem...Not every one does it and it costs more. Plus i'd need to chop it to fit it in the van so kind of defeats the purpose . I priced up all the wood i would need in Goodwins and it came out at €220 includeing the insulation foam.

€220 sounds great, have you priced the aluminium yet?

Just off the phone to this crowd in athlone http://www.colmsteel.ie/
4 sheets of 1mm 8x4 €224
4 sheets of 1mm 10x5 €350
I've had prices from others before but can't find them so would be good to get prices from a few places

I'm not planning on using aluminium this time. Maybe next one. I work with fibreglass a lot and have 2 huge rolls of matting both 4 ft wide so will be using them but only after i try varnish. If after it's all varnished and i see any leaks then the fibreglass will be thrown on. I do love the look of the aluminium skinned trailers though.

Sounds good the aluminium is fairly expensive but I wouldn't be confident of getting it watertight myself without it, any advances with your chassis search?

No still no chassis. I have my eye on a local trailer but the guy won't decide if he'll sell or not. still scouring the usual classified sites too.

I'm gonna start a build thread as I've made some progress today with much appreciated help of my brother. I'll post some pictures in the build thread and link it here.
