My GS ran out of pressure so I had to switch over to GG to finish gluing the two pieces together. I had just enough pressure to finish the outside perimeter with the GS

Side view of the kerfs. Everything went pretty well today. I am a little disappointed that the 1" foam did not make the full radius. Not sure if that is going to be a issue or not yet. Have to wait till I put the front piece on and see how it looks. I may still need to kerf a 2" piece, but at least it will only be one or two.

Thanks. Atahoekid has mentioned that is how he did his too. I do like the fact that it makes for a nice clean curve inside and out with just some filling and sanding of the outside edges, which is much easier than a inside curve.

Wow. I have a CT70 in my shed that looks exactly like that one! It has under 500 original miles. One of those "some day" projects.

Cool. This one only had 1000 miles on it. Motor does not have compression (90psi) so I suspect a sticking valve or rings. Just wanted to get it going so I ordered a 125cc motor. I picked up a bran new bolt in Lifan 125cc motor with carb, intake, coil, cdi and wiring harness for just under $300.00 shipped to my door. I will try and get the original motor running later and then this motor will go into one of the CT 90's. The parts for the CT70's and 90's are dirt cheap. I got a new seat cover for $13.00 and a throttle cable for $8.00 with free shipping.

Time to work on the trailer has been a little small the past few weeks. Spring has sprung and everything needs attention.

I had a little time this weekend to do a few things. I did some sanding and figured out how I was going to make my shelves for the back. I am trying to use as much foam as possible without making too much scrap. The bulkhead and roof sections have enough scrap to make a shelf if I join them together. I was going to just glue them together, but the more I thought about it the more I did not like that idea. So I made two more jigs today so I can put some 1"x2" reinforcements into the shelf, some info here viewtopic.php?f=55&t=55323. The first jig is to cut half the depth of a 1"x2" and the second jig is to cut the full depth of a 1"x2".

The half depth is so I can cut both sides of the shelf sections and allow the 1"x2" to support both sides of the shelf when glued together.

The full depth cut is for the front face of the shelf. This will add support from side to side and also provide a screw in point for the shelf face.

Once I got my grooves cut I cut my shelf to the the right depth and then glued the two pieces together. I used the last of my GS which should foam to fill in most of the void areas around the wood. I clamped the shelf with 2"x4"'s on each side.

I am hoping the shelf surface will be nearly flush once the glue dries/cures.

I love how everything on the curve worked out. Yours turned out a bit better than mine but I wasn't smart enough at that time to figure out a hot wire cutter. I kerfed mine with a skil saw and it looks like it. , but once the kerfed sides were faced together it looks great and without any finish worries. BTW, you did each side panel in 45 minutes, it took me over 2 hours per panel. Great Job. Looking good

Wow, hard to believe it has been 6 weeks since my last build update.

Well as I said, spring has sprung and I got caught up in a bunch of other projects. This week I said to myself I need some trailer time.....

The next section to tackle is the kitchen subroof. As I said before, I will not be using a hurricane hinge on this build to to save money, keep the roof line more aerodynamic, and keep it simple. I will be using a simple foam/rubber seal along the edge of the roof line, but need some insurance in case water gets past this seal. The answer is the subroof.

Now I need to make a gutter to direct any water that gets past the roof seal away from the kitchen. I marked where the roof ends on the subroof for a gutter guide.

I had to make another hot wire jig. This one is a half circle. I went with a circle so it would be easier to clean, no corners to collect dirt. I used the mark I made earlier to locate my gutter cut.
