For the auction, I have:

A pair of brand new, never mounted fenders, just like the ones on the Sagwagon, only not as wide. They fit 13-15" tires and I think they are 9-1/2" wide.

A sink with cutting board cover

A manual hand water pump

P-trap and drain hose

12v RV lights

Let me know if you're interested in any of that.
Life is sooooo good.........

Just a note to respond about swamp coolers. Sitting here in northern nv in 105 heat, swamp coolers are da bomb. Way cheaper and great for the desert, even the high desert. But no, they are in no way quiet. The squirrel cage type fan for blowing in the cooled air is noisy. Plus they don't come very small. However, since even on the hottest if days the temp can drop 40 degrees in the eve, in places where a swamp cooler would be appropriate in a tear, you really don't need it at night.

Why yes Liz, we are always open to visitors / guests. :goodmorning: That's how I started out my first CRA gathering. My wife, M-i-L, and myself came up and wandered (and wondered) around before we had finished our build. Very hospitable bunch, if you come up on Saturday, you might even get in on the pot luck. :picnic:

As Whitney said You must make the pot luck dinner 6PM Saturday you are invited as our guest. There is always way too much great food so please don't even think of bringing a thing but an appetite. I think after spending the day visiting with all the folk you will decide to join in on this mild form of insanity. We have a great time. I am presenting the Dutch oven cooking seminar Sat late morning and you are welcome to that as well.

Please, please, please come visit us!

Speaking of Pot Luck Dinners here is a little something I threw together over the weekend. I tossed it in the cast iron section but thought I would toss it in here as well. It can be a bit of a hike to the Dinner at the CRA............

If you look close you will see a pink masons line tied on a dutch oven in front of the fellow on the right. That was how I identified my pots at the last CRA.

Image

If you look long and hard at the gathering picture you will count 40 plus pots and there were a dozen (or so) more setting low on the seat boards as we ran out of tables.

This year I invested $4.00 on some little ID tags to be able to identify my cookware.

Image

Very simple my name and phone number. and take a spring type key ring and thread it onto the bail handle and it's identified.

I guess we will see you all in 2 years. At least by then we should have our trailer done.

Craig, have you cancelled the site at this point or can it simply be purchased from you?

Kurt,

I have contacted the email you gave me for site 43 and received no response.

If the owner of that site wants to PM me, that would be great.

Getting aquainted with our sponsors is always a good thing to do.

From now until the gathering (July 25-28) We'll have a "Featured Sponsor" for you to look at.

This period's Featured Sponsors are:

"Vintage Technologies"

and

"Vintage Camper Trailers"

Get to know them and see what they bring to the Crossroads of America 2013 gathering.

Do we have a page created to post what we have to sell at the CRA rummage sale. So people can see what we all have so we know what to all bring. And make the deals prior to the event?

We are almost in the 3 week window......

Yep 22 more days

Sat down and worked on the packing list and started making up a menu of meals.

I think the planning and anticipation is 1/2 of the fun. :D

Now packing up that's work.

Gonna take the long 4 day weekend and get the barn trailer modified for a dorm fridge
( spent half a million bucks on ice in 2011)

I even started rehearsing the Dutch Oven seminar presentation so I won't look and sound like a total idiot.

Countin' the days

Update on sites

I just checked the reservation site and saw that #159, #33 and #43 are open as of 8:32am 7/3/13

These are good sites and shouldn't last long.

Also #77 and #120 are open due to changed plans. (these are not available throught the reservation site). Please ask about these on the forum.
