That's a nice looking teardrop, Fred, and solidly built. Is it wired for 12/120v at all?

    Hi Alan,
No electric, though it could certainly be added to fit your needs. It was built to meet the rugged conditions of Alaska. Plug-ins few & far between. No lighting needed in summer & dealing with a battery in sub-arctic winter impractical.
The value is in the way it's built & materials used. Extras can always be added.
I did reply to your e-mail a couple of weeks ago. I included my phone number if you want to talk about the trailer. If you didn't get it, let me know. We'll try again.

Thanks Fred, yes I got your message. Not the time of the year I want to be driving back to Michigan from the W Coast though and, anyway, I'm thinking of building my own after I finish my current project, a wooden kayak. I know it's a different world up there in Alaska. Don't know how we'd survive without our A/C, electric blankets, flat screen TVs, toaster/microwave ovens, computers, electric faucets and other powered stuff we haul along with us.

In order to generate more interest, I'm lowering the price by $1,000. to $7,500.
This Alaska Teardrop Camp Trailer is for sale in Greenville, Michigan (not in Alaska).
Some pictures of this one & a couple of others like it in their travels:

I'm guessing that, once Stacie starts showing off her new trailer at gatherings, you may get some bites. People like to see workmanship up close.

Spot on Sharon! I'll be taking The Glampette to two rallies before the end of the year so people can see her in person.

It's been four months now since I picked her up and I just love her more and more. Several other welders have taken a look at her and all commented that Fred did very nice work on her. IMO his welding skills are enviable. His talent is obvious in the quality and precision of his build whether his own design, like the Alaska Teardrop Camp Trailer, his Northern Lite Traveler, or helping me bring my original design to life. So far everyone has been shocked by how light she is (554 lbs) and that I'm able to tow her with my '94 Acura Integra. The car had no problem pulling such a light load, even through the passes on our way back to CA via I-90 to I-5. I've also taken a subsequent trip from CA to WA via Boise. On I-80 I drove Donner Pass with no problems at all. One night in Bozeman, Montana the temperature dipped down to 40ยบ and I was snug as a bug since the trailer is insulated. Backing up is a breeze. The hardest part is remembering she's back there :)

As a very satisfied customer if anyone needs a firsthand testimonial please feel free to contact me as a reference.
