I thought maybe you were going for one of the forced illusions from the puzzle place that Wild Turkey had linked to in his voyage report. Pretty cool stuff.

Naa!! just Bad measuring ... Thought we had it right till I really looked at it ... :o

Got to the Art store today and bought 20 sheets of the chipboard ... Nice stuff , not too thin , not too thick ... Should make a Nice inner “skin“ for the Foamie ... same color as Kraft paper, but much thicker ( ~1/32” ) ... got home ready to start covering , and then it Rained ... hasn’t stopped ... not supposed too either ... :frightened: There’ goes covering ... another delay

I see you've been quite busy getting down to completion. Looks great! I am so glad that I don't have to deal with weather like yours. I hate humidity. I guess it's from growing up in SoCal where it's never very humid and now living in Northern Nevada where humidity in the low teens is not uncommon. We also get single digit readings quite often. Thunderstorms almost daily would be irritating to say the least :x :x Press on, you're doing great and I'm enjoying watching this build.

Mel, it is a bit frustrating !!! With covering , we need drying time ... None of that around here now ... :rainy:

I was thinking again ... My neighbor down the street has a Huge garage ... Hmmm? I wonder if he would let me borrow a little floor space for a couple days ... That’s all it would take to get the outer covering finished and a coat of paint on it ... Have to investigate that , or wait another week to get the covering done ... supposed to rain All weekend ... grrrrrrr!!!!

Thanks Bill .. :D

Well now ... according to the weatherman this morning , the rain chances have dropped to 30% now , so there may be a chance to apply more covering ... hopefully ... :NC

Was going to buy the 12” WM tires today ...giving me a bit more clearance (tire to floor) ... still working on the idea of raising the spring height too... we’ll see how that works out ...

It seems like we are going to be getting all your rain now! I hope it does dry up for you down there, but I still don't want it here. :wine:

Here’s the panel , bottom side tucked under the floor (over the reinforcing strip) and glued and stapled ... You can see the wrinkled window area , but that will soon become tight due to unexpected (but welcome) shrinkage as it dries ... All the edges solidly glued down ... we find rubbing the glued edges while drying smoothes out the seams , making them dry much flatter ... repeat rubbing as necessary till it all blends together...

The Sun is still out .... no sight of rain yet ... it may just dry ... :o

Well we have torrential down pouring now! Thanks a lot

So why is the front of the FS not smooth? The foam has a ridge there/sticking out, not flush. Why is that? I know you must have a reason, and probably said so, but I did not see it.

Measure with a micrometer, mark with a pencil, cut with an axe.
