Steve , overall body width is 79” ...

From the Louisiana DMV :
"Fenders - Fenders are required on all trailers where the rear body portion does not afford adequate protection to effectively minimize the spray or splash of water or dirt. All fenders must cover entire tread width of each tire. The determinant of the effectiveness of the body to act as a fender and/or mud flap is whether the height of the rearmost portion is one-third of or less than the distance from the center of the rearmost axle. This section shall not apply to vehicles registered as farm vehicles. ..."

Flashing would be the easiest way ... Mud flaps would be COOL and help with not throwing rocks ... !!! 8)

From that description your good as is. Good you're not over the 83" requirement for the upper center 3 red lights. I'd recommend that you get the bar led lights like I use on the rear of my campers as they're massively bright and safe.

Steve, those are Nice lights !!! Actually I’m going to use the ones that mount on the trailer frame , already have the brackets , bolts , and the holes are already drilled ... Just trying to make it easy on myself ...

Thanks Pat , it’s just an EVAC trailer , nothing special ... Glad to hear from you again . :D

Another rain free day forecast (rain tomorrow ) Trying to get more painting done today while I can ... Still Lots to do ...

Taking Steve’s suggestion and am going to add some flashing and mud flaps in lieu of the fenders... got the flaps ordered... That’s much easier than wrestling with those old rusted fender bolts on the other trailer ...
Now wondering what to do with a Pint of Liquid wrench ... Have to save that for the next build ... ;)

Ps. the skin surgery worked out fine .... no more problems ... TB2 is “the stuff” ...

Reading Rowerwet’s Index of the Big thread... he mentions this : "bullseye primer will soften when wet, top coat cloth to waterproof” ... Have to go back and re-read that again .... maybe similar with the Gripper ?... sure seems like that’s what happened to me ..

Pretty Morning (not raining) , off to paint the FS ... 2nd coat :D

Well, here’s the Official 50 foot Photo of the FS , and it’s 2nd coat of paint ...

Went around picking little nits out of the paint to achieve a better finish ... mostly foam beads ...

Ps ... that bottom Brown thing will be a hopefully pretty varnished piece of wood (Yes, wood :o ) as a trim strip , screwed to those bottom crossmembers sticking out on the bottom ... Gives it a sorta “nautical “ flavor ... Submarine and all ... And there will be a strip of the same wood as a trim across the middle of the door where that annoying wood brace sticks out ... (disguise those faults  ) Like with the paint job , you don’t notice the seams now eh !!! ;)

Seams? What seams? Since you are the master of all things painted, I knew you'd figure out a way to trick the eye...it is really looking great and I love the wheels on it! Almost there!!!

I agree with everyone else. That is looking fantastic! Now come make one like that for me. Think that guy could make those ribs for me? How much would he charge? Oh but then I would have to figure out how to get them here.

Anyway, great job, love the paint! :wine: :applause:
