Ned , my wife agrees with you 100% .. and is on me to at least get it licensed soon ... Reading the light instructions now ... trying to figure that out ... again ...
taillights are mounted ..... Not so bad ... ...later on we may move these into cutouts in the body ... for a cleaner look ... pretty easy to do , when not in a rush ...
W2, these lights are perfectly rectangular so it would be easy to “blend” them in , although I’d lose the Lic. plate light and would have to provide something for that purpose ..not a problem ..They would look Much better mounted on the cabin , than just sticking off the trailer as they are now... I would have mounted them Higher on the trailer frame , but with the strange H cross section shape of the metal rear beam , there was no access to the upper area...
Never finished ... True ... just getting closer all the time ...

Yes, I’m with you and like the lights on the foamie part... we’ll get around to that later when we have more time to piddle with these little details ... Storms are brewing ... gotta’ get it ready ... from August to early September is our “busy” season ...
My job right now is making it ready so the State Police inspector will determine it to be licensable ... Then get the plate (we can get a Forever plate here for $70 ... not a bad deal )... But now we are also required to undergo a trailer “Brake Inspection”(every year) and carry that in the TV ... Just another way of prying money from our old sweaty hands ... The trailer’s got NO BRAKES eh ??? “ Declare the pennies on your eyes “ ...
Got this question about marker lights ... We have a gaggle of them , LED, and am wondering how many we really need ??? The rear tail lights have a side marker feature, so maybe just two amber ones up front , or do we have to put the other ones up high on the trailer too... ??? Hmmm?
Was thinking of attaching (glue) them with the 3M 5200 and just a couple “keeper” screws to hold it in place while the 3M cures (7days).. just one hole through the canvas foam for the wires to go inside where it will be wired to the main harness ... They’re so small , that should work huh ? ... no stress except for Bears and flying frozen Turkeys ...
In Arizona, you don't need any! Not for a trailer that size, anyway. Your sidemarker tail lights, and an amber reflector on each side in front, and you are done!
Speaking of holes ... Took the side windows out to line the hole with more fabric (neater looking) and cut the chip board wall liner and glued it onto the foam wall ... coated the entire back with TB2 and pressed it in place ... This works Nicely !!! When dry we’ll 3M 5200 the window edges in to permanently seal it in ...and yes, we will mask off the outside so the 5200 doesn’t get everywhere... That would be Bad ...
Ps. The chipboard to foam dries Very quickly ... repositioning is not an option !
Found this in the CAA/AAA digest of of vehicle regulations:
"Louisiana Trailers and semitrailers 80 inches or more in width must be equipped with 2 front clearance lamps on each side, 2 rear clearance lamps on each side, and 2 side marker lamps and 2 reflectors, 1 of each on the front and on the rear.
Trailers and semitrailers 30 feet or more in length must have 1 amber side marker
lamp and 1 amber reflector, centrally located on each side.
Every trailer and semitrailer must be equipped with at least 1 red light mounted on the rear that emits a light for at least 1,000 feet."
Since you don't hit the length and width restrictions, it sounds like all you need is one red light at the rear...
You'd also need the two tail lights and license plate light but other than that, I think you're good. I would suppose the single rear light would be accomplished with a working tail light so I'm not sure why the repetition in the law...
I'd personally put on a lot more than that. My hope is that if it's lit up, they'll see you and if they see you, they won't hit you. I know that's not always true but if it's easy enough to do, I'd do it.

Mel. Big Thanks !!! I looked everywhere.gov and found nothing ... So we’re all good and that will work for now ... and we can add reflectors ... easy ...
Got the windows sealed in ... and the chipboard liners on both window openings ... 3M 5200 is a MESS to use ... but looks like it should seal really well ...
RE: Getting the wife to help .... the poor girl is just too educated to be of any use involving this complex kind of work (standing , holding a window in place ) ... I placed the window , and told her , “Hold it straight” ... went inside , put the screws in , came back out and this was what I found... Crooked as a veteran politician ... Too sorry to even pass off as an asymmetrical design element When I told her she was a "construction Idiot" , she skulked off , mumbling something about my parentage ... later came back and apologized... Told her not to worry , I’ll do a little "Jedi paint trick" to make it less noticeable ... (yet another distraction) ... I told her this will be our little secret and nobody else will ever know .... Right !!!
On the second window , I was perspicacious enough to draw a line for her to follow ... You can see that one came out much better ...
