I was worried about my frame sticking out a bit from under my skirt in the front, but painted black it just disappears!

Looks great and the black paint made it look great. Just go slow if you drive over gravel roads or it'll shot peen your frame back down to bare metal. Ask me how I know! :x

 If you put the AC in you could work inside during the heat of the day and when it's raining. Of course that may interfere with the naps. :SH

Mary , actually I was more concerned what You were doing on the road ... ;)

Although we Love the wife dearly , we realized long ago she was useless for any physical work ... She’s good at directing , and I’m good at ignoring her directions ... After 40 years together, it’s all worked out ...somehow... One Man army ... I hear that !!!

AC on while working inside ... that works for me !!! Good test of the AC and insulation ... Yet to try that , but soon ... ;) Maybe try a Nap too .... naps are a “Good Thing” ... just wait and you’ll see... :R

W, take an old scrap of cloth about 8”X8” put the chalk in the center , gather the ends ,making a little bag , and put a rubber band around the top ... I used a scrap of the old canvas from Foamie #1 ... This method allows Anybody to get good results ... old as the hills , it’s the same way Michelangelo did the Sistine Chapel .. True !!! And here’s the secret ... no matter what you have painted on your trailer , the eye (viewer) will Always look at the graphic elements (like words, letters, numbers ) First ... The “distraction" .. Look how adding a simple name to the trailer immediately gave it a more “finished” appearance...

Here’s a pic of the bag and my mahl stick , used for steading the painting hand ...

Ned , already done !!! Just another "design element” ... ;)

The Power of Paint ...to straighten a crooked window :o ... This is just the first coat , we’ll fine tune the edges as it dries ... Looks good from 50’ eh ???

GPW,
That looks awesome !

I'm just curious, about how big it is inside ...
how wide is the inside floor not counting the ribs ?
and how tall is it ?
Thanks ,
tac

It’s BIG as far as TTT’s go ... 72” from wall to wall inside , subtract 6” overall for the rib width ... Floor to keystone 76” less 3” rib.. 73” Max Headroom ... I only have to slouch slightly to clear the ribs (6’3”), in between no problem ...could have easily been made a few inches taller by extending the straight part of the ribs...
Calculated 72 sq. ft. floor space ... almost 3 times the size of Foamie #1 @ 28 sq,ft. :o
Way big enough for our humble needs !!!

GPW,
Sorry to bug you, again....What kind of paint did you use on the exterior ?
Oil based ? gloss ?
I'm at the point where I'm starting to think about paint....
First I have to do some 115V electrical for lights, etc, I'm thinking about just using a GFI outlet as a circuit breaker.
Have you thought about what you are going to do for electrical ?
thanks again,
tac

You are going to have to build something else when you finish the FoamStream just to keep us entertained !
and by us, I mean me !

Thanks for the info on lettering GPW.

TAC, GFI won't replace a circuit breaker, they do different jobs. Breaker stops too much current from flowing, A GFI shuts power off when current flows to the wrong place. (Ground), but doesn't limit the current otherwise. Without a circuit breaker, if you have a short, your wires or extension cord can become instant red hot heating elements with resulting fire or damage !!
Even a cheap power bar will have a circuit breaker, or an extension cord with one built into the end.
Take care.

TAC, PPG Gloss exterior Latex paint ... a bit pricy (~40USD/gal. including sales tax... ), but it was left over from the recent house re-paint ... which BTW lasted for 13 years ... I did have to get the green , but got some for the house trim too as the recent trim color job didn’t pass the “Official" inspection ... she didn’t like it .. :R

The advanced electrical system will be a HD exterior 50’ extension cord , GFI, and a 6 way on the end ... passed through a “port” in the floor (hole) .. We are assuming  the AC source will have a breaker ... or better anyway .. :frightened:
Clip on flo’ lights , AC, toaster oven , coffee maker, and a fan ... that’s about it ... I have a solar radio, and schmaybe’ a small FS TV will come later .. if needed...
