Hopefully , Mary will be driving a Finished Foamie' home !!! Wouldn’t that be Nice !!! 8)

JMHO : Mary has a lot more Grits (“cojones” ) than I have , building “on the road” and all ... That’s NOT the easiest way to build ... :frightened: Hope she gets some “expert” assistance !!!

I made it back!!!!!The trip home was uneventful except to the 4 hours sleep at a small truck stop in TN. I got home this morning but was exhausted and put away my left over mess in the living room and then fell asleep. I now have a TD to empty out . I have lots of work on the Hatch to do but now I don't feel so rushed. Oh when is the next camp .......... no, I have to finish maybe I don't need to mess around.

I hope that it was a good representative of the foamies, with how easy it it really is. I had lots of people come by and look and many were impressed and wanted me to nail and screw things together add wood here and there and do this and that, but after they felt how hard the oops canvas that was sticking up in a couple of places they changed their mind. They were impressed and thinking a little differently. There was a little disbelief that the paint will completely make it water proof and the amazing thing was I always asked well if water gets through the paint and canvas with the glue will it damage the foam? when it finally gets understood there were more than one walking away smiling. There were lots of people taking pictures and I did hear a lot of ": my next one will be a foamie".

When it was time for the lifting, ( a group came to help hold it up while I shoved the left over canvas under the TD). I heard a couple of remarks about how light it was. They were expecting it to be really heavy. They were great and I so appreciate their help. A couple of ladies helped me push the glued canvas under. a very sincere thanks goes out to a great bunch of friendly, helpful tearjerkers. I still had the doors to put in so after the really great meal Bonnie who has the BUB to ????? and Tommy who has the ELF Cottage came and helped to get the doors in. We barely got it in by the parks bit.........bewitching hour.

I am so honored by the amount of help and all the love that was given. The CRA was great and hopefully in the future I will get the chance to return the honor of help that I was given.

And yes Louella you were very very missed.

Now I did get one itty bitty suggestion, for " get GPW to help you with the paint decorations on the outside" . I heard it several times," get GPW to help you paint it he has lots of ideas and he can help." "GPW is really good with paint and he has lots of ideas and everything he does is beautiful! " GPW is into painting and his work is really wonderful so maybe he can help you get it painted really cute."

So.. GPW, there is a lot of people who have very high opinions of your paint and decorating expertise, talent and abilities.

Glad to hear your trip was uneventful and it's good to hear that you've converted a few others. Who knows?, maybe we'll go main stream soon

As we found out , there are two kinds of trailers .... one requires constant maintenance , storage , and investment ... the other just sits in the driveway , unaffected ... always ready to go ... I’ve built/owned both kinds ... can you guess what I ended up with ... ? Likely Foamie trailers will only become “accepted” after the wooden ones have all rotted away ... :o :frightened:
Foamlings' , we are the “different" ones ... for now ...

Safe trip. Had fun. Made progress on the tear. Sounds like a successful trip to me. So glad it worked out. Even if you weren't camping in the tear this time, you will next time!
