Being a minority, I have unfortunately run into places and instances like that. Along the line of "its not the heat, it's the humidity"," its not the hate its the stupidity". It's helped to me be tolerant of distasteful comments. You'd think in this day and age we wouldn't have issues like this but there are lots of stupid people. Maybe someday everyone will learn :worship: :worship:

Thanks to thoughtful kind people. I pitched a fit and wrote letters once, the store bent over backwards to get smaller sizes in coats. that was a long time ago. Some day women will be construction accepted and men can wash dishes and foamies will be accepted as just another Tear Drop or tiny travel trailer and people wont laugh or make ugly remarks. and GPW will be ok. :) I have to go take pictures and then find my cord to the computer , lost it somewhere. can't post pictures till I find it.

Many manufacturers do, but many stores and catalogs stop at one size to small for me. I have a similar problem with hats.

GPW, of course you won't find large, manly sized dishwashing gloves. Those are usually sold in grocery stores. Those are women's stores. :R And don't bother trying to use logic & reason on me, young man. It won't work.

Bogo, you've got the same problem as me but on the opposite end. Surprisingly, they actually had a pair of XXL gloves. First time I'd ever seen that. Note the phrase "a pair" meaning just the one.

Atahoe, you'd think we would have progress further, but no. Still a very long way to go.

Well, I too had a Gremlin and wish I still did. Those little buggers just ran and ran. More than enough power with the six cyl. to pull anything we might build. The only issue was that with the nearly "square" wheel base, they could really go into circle spinning mode on ice. Exciting as all get out the first time it happens let me tell you. Fond memories of that buggy.

Of course I loved my '65 Corvair Corsa 140 4 spd. convertible too. Lots of fun getting those four one bbl. carbs to agree with each other. And then there was the '65 Impala SS with the special order factory 396 and buckets. Please don't let me get going on the '64 Lemans convertible, the Metropolitan or the '69 Lemans. Then there was the original metal body Avanti that my sister would NOT sell to me. Still don't know what happened to that one.

I just went back and re-read page one. Interesting how quickly one can forget how this epic got started.

Gremlin is just a 2 wheel drive lower Jeep!

65 Impala big block? I parted out a '67! Need a hood? ... or steering wheel? 325 HP Quadrajet w/ cast iron distributor, TH400 short tail. Maroon with the speaker in the center of the back seat. When I was driving wrecker I think I paid $600 for it. Those where the days!

Economy? Some of the big indexes had all time highs yesterday. But let's not go there in this forum. Too political and usually too depressing.

When the economy gets going again gas prices will jump, and light streamlined TDs and TTTs will be that much more desireable.

Good economy and higher gas prices do not mix. Higher gas prices mean higher prices at the store which means stagnate economy. But, if the economy stays weak people will be looking to get rid of big gas hogs and heavy trailers that take lots of gas to move. Just think "a fomie in every garage!" might make a great campaign slogan..... :D
