Does that kind of OSB board withstand the elements?

i was watching that video and then the one from Nevada and your right the OSB will not last long. I have so many questions that i want to run down there and ask them. the big one i saw was how he locked it with a simple clasp, anyone could then be trapped. my sister who is the cruel one in the family said yeah lock them in then go push them down a hill. (ANd you wonder why i left home early). its an intresting concept.

I'm sure they guy's heart is in the right place, but what he's creating is just an outdoor shelter.

The homeless problem is a complex one. Compassion sure helps, but it's not a solution.

well i think a FIC RV latch would be better than a simple clasp and safer. the other thing i noticed was the vent was just a simple house vent. DO you think a RV vent would be a better choice I do not recall if they come in metal which i think would be more durable.
Its tough and I do not think this is a solution for everyone. In doing a research one of the things a group down south did was raise money to by oversized duffles with wheels something they could take on a bus if needed.

I believe that may have been the first one he ever made. The painted surface probably helps protect the OSB, at least for a while. The video said that he made several before he found just the right style. The one he is making now looks like a partial tube made out of some sort of plastic (?) sheeting.

I like that there is a door on each end so that the breezes can blow through on a hot day. I don't like the idea of the locking hasp outside because someone could lock another person inside, like a cage. However, if one of the doors only locks from the inside, that might be okay because, when you are inside, you can still get out. When you go out, though, you'd have to lock the inside lock and go out the other door and lock that one from the outside. Also, the pipe vent is an inexpensive way to allow for ventilation. It's a nice, thoughtful idea to put into practice.
