Hello, new friends, and thanks for having me!

They call me "eggsalad". I'm 49 years old and live in Fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada USA. I like to camp...

...but not sleep on the ground!

For most of my life, I have had station wagons, trucks with caps, or vans. They gave me a comfortable place to sleep when camping. I no longer have a need for such a big vehicle, and I've downsized to a 2005 Scion xB, whose cargo area isn't long enough for sleeping.

To solve that, I've embarked on a TTT build. Rather than build a frame from scratch, I have started with a 11'6" long trailer I bought from Craigslist for $160. It was originally used for a PWC, and is the style with a tapered nose.

I've been reading TNTTT since before I began my build, and gotten plenty of good ideas and tips from the forums here. I thank you all for that. I figured it was time to sign up, so that I could contribute and ask questions.

Nope, not really. I do enjoy a nice egg salad sandwich on rye toast, but I've been using this name online for many years because people find it amusing and memorable.

Hello Egg well I'm from Las Vegas Nv also we have a small group that gets together and camps and DO cooks we are a friendly little group most of us are in Mid 50's we have tears cargos and costa's and some bring travel trailers or motor homes we love camping and dont care what you us oh yes we have tents also. most of all we just have fun. they are talking about a camping trip to winery in Parump in Sept. Look up LVDO.com

A traditional build on a trailer frame over 11" long might be pretty heavy, but if you build with Foam.... should be light, strong and unique. Welcome to the club!!

Oh, this build is anything but traditional! Very minimalist. And it's the *overall* trailer length that is 11'6", but since the frame tapers to the front, the first 5' is essentially "all tongue". The actual camper length is only 6'10".

I' ll find out where they are going know there is a Facebook page '' Las Vegas Dutch Oven Society '' but lvdos.com no one post on it in a while I'll get info and get back to you. There is a gathering at Caldwell Bay Nov 7 weekend there will be tears there for you to get ideals from if you can't sleep over come on out and get ideals and meet everyone see what we are about.
