K, Thanks ... it seems "restful ” :goodnight:

Bogo ... the “unevenness” is now a whole lot less noticeable than it was ;) ... no worries ... :D

Mel , you can always drive it over here and we’ll knock it out in a day or two .... depending on the weather ... Yes , it’s STILL raining here... I should have built that Foamie‘ boat while I had a chance ... :duh:

Since it’s continually raining , and the paint isn’t quite dry yet in the FS .. Took some time to make some Major Brownie points with the wife ... took the old electric clothes dryer all apart and gave it a GOOD cleaning ... seems it had become well clogged inside over the years and just wasn’t drying ... Easy with internet directions .. no cussing or throwing things as these projects usually require... Works GREAT now !!! Saved a few repair coins too (or total dryer replacement $$$ :frightened: ) ... which will likely now be diverted to the “trailer fund” ... :D Gotta’ love the Internet , it’s how we got here in the first place , and now we can show up with dry clothes too ...

On Greenness: I will still be using my Solar Dryer(clothesline) to save energy with drying the heavier articles ... like my paint jeans collection, which seems to grow daily ... But H.R.H. must have a dryer for her “delicates” ... :R

So, if I ever take the Road Foamie that far, we'll plan on doing that paint job... On the other subject, funny, our resident queen insists on hanging (inside) her delicates.   I'm confused... :? :?

That’s a deal ... you bring the Beer...
Ours has an indoor clothesline too ... I expect it will be easy to string one up in the FS ... all those holes ... Now “she” wants a cargo net ... (her idea ) ... notwithstanding that I must have mentioned it a hundred times before ... I’m always Confused ... after 40 years , even more so ... :?

What's so confusing? Just remember that no matter how many times you mention something (or when), It was always her idea. You only reminded her of it. 8)

On the "next one", line some of the upper walls
in velvet, and then do some "velvet paintings"...

Have to be honest , in all these years , I’ve Never done any painting on velvet ...
No rain today (maybe) so we’ll hopefully get a chance to finish the painting (just the moon and stars ) ... but first I have to run the dog to the vet , along with a wheelbarrow full of money ... Why are Vets so free Ken Expensive ?? ... Four times what it costs me to go to the doctor ... What a ripoff !!! Worse than Bankers !!! grrrrrrr!!!

Oh my goodness, don't get me started on vet bills! It starts off with the stupid office visit fee, what the heck is that? I don't pay an office visit fee for my son when he goes to doctors. Then all the "well we can do this, and we can do that" and the "we recommend this and that". Giving them the rabies shot listed good for a year, but its really good for 3 and then they vaccinate again yearly, why? the vaccine is good for 3. ok, I will stop for now because I have to get ready for my vet to make a farm visit today for my horses. So it starts today with a "farm visit fee" on top of their shots, manure check and coggins.

well, I have paid my dues when it comes to vet bills, still have two dogs, more bills in the future. GPW that painting looks really good. I will maybe stop by on my way home, The operative word here is maybe if the rain and wind is at peace. I want to get some things in the city and thought maybe you would like to see my little TD. I wont be able to stay long, a hour or so and right now don't know when. Plans are still loosely put together.

Back from the Vet ... dog OK , wallet decimated... :o Or as we say here “Cha Ching” the sound of a cash register... $>

Wanted to get back to painting , but it’s STILL raining ... :rainy: Guess the little bit left to do won’t matter inside the trailer ...

I can’t even imagine the Vet bill for a Horse ... :frightened:  :o

Mary, we’ll “leave a light on” .... can’t promise anything about the weather ... been pretty WET lately , and this is fast approaching the peak of the Hurricane season (fingers crossed ) ... Otherwise , we’ll be glad to see you !!!

Supply and demand and malpractice insurance...

You can be thankful a majority of them are going into small animal. Large animal vets are very few in number, and the numbers of them are declining. I can be thankful my county has 4 of them. Many Iowa counties don't have any. BTW: My vet doesn't charge me for the farm cats and dogs visits, but then I spend enough there on livestock. I'm not likely getting a 1% discount...

The moon and stars look great.

One of my dreams has always been to own a horse of my own, I envy those who have known that pleasure. One of my life's realities is I can't afford the vet care for a horse along with farrier and then they want to eat, someplace to keep it. Alas it is mine to dream I guess. No worries our local vet isn't going hungry with two dogs and a cat to take over regularly.

I always wondered what you’d do with all that manure .... maybe send it all to Congress , they never seem to have enough with them ...

Everybody , cept’ me has a horse or more in my neighborhood ... Pretty animals !!! I love to paint horse portraits for customers , but would rather not own one personally ... just too much work (and expense) to properly care for them , at my age ...that and I never really much cared for shoveling a bunch of S***, which is why I never got a horse , and never got into politics ...

The Moon , the wife likes it (most important eh ? ) , my friends like it , and it sure covers up a lot of less than attractive non -scientific foam work ...

Good news , it’s cool (for here 76F) now , it’s not supposed to rain for a couple days , and I can get the trailer lights wired and take that trip to the State Police ... The wife INSISTS on being Legal ... She said “ I’m not going to drive that without a License” ... Thing is , she’s not gonna’ drive it anyway ...

Gee, GPW, I thought you may have been leaving the threads to create a Spanish moss effect.

All you really need to do now it get it legal & find suitable bedding. After that I think the rest is just niceties. We hope you never have to use it but if you do you will be much better off than most who have to bug out.

Now... in my area very few, if any, large animal vets will work on small animals at your property. They make farm calls for large animals but only care for small animals at the office. There are separate mobile vets who do make house calls for small animals but they don't do any large animal work. More surprising is that routine exam, vaccination & testing costs less for the horse than the dogs. Go figure. Taking 2 dogs to the vet costs 4x as much as 1 horse & 1 goat. And feeding the horse & goats always cost less than feeding the dogs, varying from 2-5 dogs over the years. Right now feeding the horse is free since nature has seemed fit to dump enough water on us for a 50 year high.

Louella, does your county or state not allow 3 year rabies vaccinations? My dogs get the 3 yr vaccine. In Georgia that is valid as long as it is administered before the prior vacc expires. If you let the rabies certificate lapse you have to go back to a 1 year vacc & then start again with the 3 yr vacc the next year. What is silly is that the 3 year rabies vacc is exactly the same except for the certificate & tag issues AND it costs 150% more. Mine also get the 3 yr DHPP. Their vaccinations are staggered so they get rabies 1st year, DHPP 2nd & nothing 3rd year.
