First my truck has 20" tires vs 15" on most cars .....
A 4 x 4 is much higher then a standard.
So of course the smaller tire car will bottom out first !!
2nd you can get a torsion with -45 deg negative which has a a lot more clearance
And there are no springs to get busted on any rocks.
I personally see no EVIDENCE to support your conclusion ?
Show me something like a road test by Road & Track ? Anything ?
When I see serious off road trailers, they all have shocks & air bags
