Surprised you didn't paint a "Worm's eye view" while you where down there.

Got everything done around all the sides and front and back ... just the 3 large center sections to do ... :frightened:

NOTE: Just a lesson from experience... if you’re going to use the Black Nasty Stuff on the bottom of the trailer floor .... It’s BEST to paint all that on BEFORE you bolt it down ...That way you can lay the flooring out on horses flat and just trowel it on ... MUCH Easier than lying on your back under the trailer , painting overhead (ouch!) , crickets and frogs hopping on you , wasps buzzing you while you try to glop this stuff on ... Nasty business!!! :R .... I’m temped to get some spray can undercoating to finish up the rest ...

Might not be a bad idea anyway if the wood that's against the frame isn't undercoated. At least that way, you can really build it up in the corners where the frame meets the wood.

I think you’re right !!! Even though it is Good PT wood that we selected specially for the X-members (clear, no knots , etc. ) It can’t hurt to spray it all over ... the wife even thinks spraying would be easier ... on me ...

I’m thinking about a mini-skirt of sorts , just a trim piece of flashing or something so the water rolls down the body and off ... now it’s rolling under the rounded lip ...

GPW,

There's an Asian buffet across from the HF I shop at too! Coincidence or by design?

Anyway. We've been on this low carb diet do so long that I'm planning a trip to HF this weekend and hanging out at the buffet until they ask me to leave.

Love the night sky painting.

Take care,
Tom

I sense a pattern here. The HF I go to also has a Chinese buffet in the opposite corner of the parking lot HMMMM!!!!

Maybe some of that drywall corner bead - either the metal or the
plastic or paper combo [however it comes] [like tac422 used in
The Big Pink thread: http://tnttt.com/viewtopic.php?f=55&t=56441
applied at that bottom edge [glue on, then paint over ?] would have
enough of a surface break at its little corner edge round to allow
the water to break the surface tension and drip there ?

You guys might be on to something there. We have a Chinese buffet next to the HF here too!

Might take a look at flashing too. I am using 2"x3" flashing along the bottom edge. The pink foam tappers near the long edges some. When the foam is glued to the floor the bulk of the foam is 2" thick, but tapers down as much as 1/4" at the edges. Took me a bit to figure out what was going on with other measurements as well. This can be worked around because the tapper is only on one side, probably the side that they cut if from. By time I figured out this tapper I had already glued the sides to the bulkhead so I had to work around the tapper since one side faced outward and the other inward. This made the tapper inside on one side and outside on the other. I was going to use the paper covered beading along the bottom edge, but it did not come up high enough to cover the tapered part of the foam, which is about 1 1/2" up the side. I was already going to use the 2"x3" flashing along the front to help support/hold the foam overhang so I figured I would just continue along the sides. I am drilling holes into the flashing along the bottom and then using Great Stuff on the L part that comes in contact with the bottom of the trailer. Then I am painting the side of the trailer up as high as the flashing will go with Gripper. Then I paint the L part that comes in contact with sides with Gripper. Place the Flashing where I want it and screw it into place. Seems to be working great. The GS foam fills in the void and the Gripper glues the edge nicely. I do not use GS on the wall sides because I am afraid that the foam will push it away form the wall.

Got home after the LD band gig yesterday and Disaster struck .... It seems my Modem died :o ... Couldn’t get on the ‘net ... Called ATT repair , got someone in Asia who convinced me (by testing) the modem was dead and they would send me a new one for 100USD + shipping (20 USD) ...
Today I try it and now it works ... What the ? ... Not yer’ Grandma’s ATT anymore... grrrrrr!!!!

Back to work on the FS today .... Have to run out for supplies to finish the bottom (spray undercoating) and another cargo net for the wife ... We’ll be sure to check out flashing while we’re out ... One week left till the peak of the season (10th) ... Things still pretty quiet ... TG!!! :worship:

The wife mentioned buying a folding table :o ... we had originally thought of a fold up table , but the way things laid out that would now be “impractical” due to the window placement ... but a fold -Down table works ... Kinda’ makes more sense anyway huh ? ...
So we made another drawing , just to visualize things out ... :hammerhead:

Ps. since the hinge line is boxed in between the two ribs , the table could be a lot wider , extending beyond the ribs on each end ...within reason of course ... Or, it could even span Two ribs for a Long table ... ~ 24” X 48” ...

Which will probably work for the fold-down desk/utility table too .. ... still room for the clock on the wall ... :D

That is how I made my tables on the back doors of my teardrop. You could build a table to span one set of ribs. A table that spans two sets of ribs. Or two side by side tables and use one or both as the urge hits you.

Would be a bit more building doing two. But what else you have to do as you watch the weather reports?
