I too learned the magic words many years ago... "Yes, Dear!!" For some odd reason, I now get the evil eye when I use the phrase. Perhaps it's in my delivery??? :frightened: :NC  :o

I let the wife choose our last vehicle (for her). It was within the budget (barely) but high end European sedans are HIGH MAINTENANCE :x :? I can afford the monthly payments but the upkeep, fuel and licensing and like are killing me!!! Now she tells me she wants a Honda CRV for her next car. I've long figured out that I will never figure out my wife. But then I'm sure I'm not alone.

Back to the subject, everyone I know who has a CRV likes it. I only look at it as a transportation vehicle capable of handling snow. If it gets the wife safely to and from work in the snow, then I am happy. The biggest thing it would probably have to haul is a sack of dog food along with the dog.

Snow isn't something we 'worry about' here, it is simply a fact of life. We don't 'need' 4x4, though I wouldn't mind an awd for my next work vehicle. The aveo is going away sometime late fall, early winter... want to trade it in eventually so I don't run all the limited value out of it.

Hope to hear from the broker in the next week or two, and I'll take her out to see what he's located for her.

Hi gang, been really busy with the new management job. Turnover sucks... I wind up covering the gaps until I can hire the replacement drivers.. Pay is nice when that happens, but my schedule goes out the window.
We lost our aged dachshund a couple of weeks back, there went most of my play money... Then my car lunched its fan... Suffice to say zero progress on the trailer , not even sketches or planning lately.
The car will get replaced before he dead of winter, and I hope to have some shop time this week.. I have a bench in progress... Need to finish that up soon!

boy, I thought life was getting in my way. I've been busy but at least get a few hours of shop time on the weekends. We'll keep our fingers crossed for you and hope things start turning your way.

Hi gang! One way or another, looks luge were going to have an Escape soon! Found a hybrid '05 in great shape near my parents. So I'll be driving down in a week or so to pick it up.

1000 lb tow rating, but that's fine by me... Since I'm going to build a foamie, right?

Congratulations! Love the color. BF has a Mercury Milan hybrid. It performs quite well.

The new cute Ute. A few scratches & interior condition issues, minor ones though. Mechanically it seems solid. Handles great & the hybrid mode is so cool!

When you stop at a light it goes into EV mode... Engine shuts off & it goes silent!

Perfect size TV for a Foamie!! I don't know how much (if any) horsepower and torque you lose by going hybrid, but you're building a foamie so that should all balance out... :) :D

Fall is here, and I'm looking at setting up my shop for winter over the next couple of weeks. I'm planning on a purchase of about a dozen 2" sheets of foam, mostly for insulating my shop, but a few will be left over and be the starting point for my wanderer. Once I have the drop ceiling installed, I'll start in on building the cabinetry and support frames for the trailer. My shop is only 12'x20', but I have a nice loft where they can wait for spring to arrive. Gotta get back to work... Stay safe all!
