Before using pop rivets for your lights, you need to consider that you might have to remove them sometime in the future. On my first trip, the only problem I had was one of my cabin lights quit working. Turned out to be a loose connection in the fixture wiring but I had to remove the light fixture to figure that out. Try to use screws if you can.

A small drill bit makes for easy rivet removal, especially if its an aluminum rivet.

That screw is counter sunk, it may damage the plastic. If going with screws, as Kc said, use a screw that is flat on the back side of the head.

True, thats not the correct Screw to use. A Pan head would be better.

But!

As long as you put it in Diplomatically....and not use an impact gun or any kind of Power tool, it will work.

Awesome! Thanks for teaching me all of this! Haha. I know it may be common sense but I'm not a handyman AT ALL!

West Marine Tri Grip Rivets $6.99 per 10 pack with what appears to be an o-ring gasket under the head.

Yak-Gear Tri Grip Rivets $5.74 per 10 pack, does not appear to include a gasket.

Thanks for the info.
