All enviable goals to be sure , Jack ! ... Sad we must accommodate the laws of those who would tax us to death because of their fiscal irresponsibility ...

Messes can be contained by large cheap drop cloths ... ;) E-bikes are cool and “planet safe” , especially if you charge from a solar panel ... Save the Planet ... ... actually the planet will remain here , how about saving US !!! :o

Got the shipping weight on the .120” chipboard...27# so minus the box that’s the weight of the nose sheeting (not bad considering ! ) ... although we probably over ordered and will have extra sheets ... Extra cardboard , extra foam .... you know what that means...

Funny, the wife was showing pictures of the FS to her co-workers on her phone , and one said “ He must have parked it just right to get the picture with the moon in it ".... :R    ...my “moon roof “ ...

So GW . . . Since you have the most experience in this area, do you think the 1/2" thickness of the pink foam sheets can be bent over a shaping form with only one heat gun by one person using some straps to slowly pull things into shape. I'm thinking of an ultra-lite trike covered pick-up type, with electric assist. vehicle. Thinking a FoamStream variation.

So G, how's it going with the whole DMV situation down there? I'm trying to come up with a way to get around some rules and regs for home built vehicles. Might just have to end up designing both gas and electric into one vehicle with interchangeability for whatever state I might end up in. She's planning to retire in a year or so and doesn't want to stay in MN. so flexibility is the word.

Guess I'll spring for a sheet of 1/2" pink foam and do a little heat gun bending experimenting. Think the 3/4" would be as easy? Just wondering where the cutoff point is for when it gets to needing two people and coordination to git 'er done.

I just got a KampRite tent/cot and what a sweet little camping device that is. I got the oversized and not the double, something about the extra $100+ dollars for the upgrade AND the way more complicated set-up. This thing you just unfold it on it's side, set it on its legs, stick in two flexi-poles and do two clips underneath to hold the ends down and you're ready to crawl in. Takes a minute or less. They also do a camper trailer to be pulled with a bicycle with a narrower version on top of a shallow soft side cargo box. I have one of the HF type 4'X4' little red trailers that I'm going to do a similar thing to for my motor bike. Might get a camping trip to the SD Badlands in yet this year. Life would be ever so much better if I had the money to go with the time I have free. I have the national parks free entry geezer card but it might not be doing much good if things keep spiraling down the drain here. Oh well, there's always the back door.

Jack, don’t buy any foam as yet .... I have some 3/4’ foam scraps here I’ll do a heat bend test for you ... as soon as it gets light ... ;)

Meeting with my Lawyer tomorrow night , at band practice , we’ll discuss the problem with the trailer builder , (also in the band ) ... I’m sure we can come up with some kind of workable solution acceptable to the state police ...

National parks .... just another case of politicians manipulating public opinion to get what they want ... Not what "We the People" want ... Puppets for the 1% ...

up here you just tell them it is a home built trailer or so old it doesn't have a VIN. no inspections. I think they really just want the money...

Row, I just think it’s like that here too (the Money) , but they just want to make sure the “parts” weren’t stolen and re-assembled ... or at least that’s the excuse .... I’m sure there is a really big black market for stolen and re-assembled trailers  ... a gateway to other serious crimes , like Littering , and not eating your carrots ... :R
Also , without “paperwork” it makes it harder for them to assess the value and Tax you for it .... (more money) ... Top that all off with the annual Brake Tag inspection , which on a trailer with no brakes amounts to checking your lights to see if they are working ... something we always do before we tow anything anyway :duh: .... ( $30.00 please ) $>

I know someone previously mentioned registering in Maine. It's supposed to be really easy and hassle free. If I ran into any trouble registering the Road Foamie, I would have gone that route.... :) 8)

Well, this the land of being exceptional. Unless you try do something creative and on your own. Then it's a whole 'nuther story. Create but don't make waves. Sometimes I get a big case of the grrrrrr's. Too much energy goes into NOT moving good ideas forward. I'm not so sure that some of the conspiracy folks might not just have a point, having been reading up on electric power vehicle progression and regression in our last thirty years or so.

As the saying goes, enough about me. Now what do you think about what I think?

As much as I’d like to , I really can’t get my soapbox out now .... that would only spoil the joyous feelings of the FoamStream completion ... :dancing
