Mike,
You may want to figure out what BTU range you really need based on the altitude. I have Coleman, Camp Chef (2), Primus, and SMEV stoves. The old Coleman has about 8,000 btu burners and works fine up to about 5000 ft. I usually camp at 7,000 ft or higher so I found a portable Camp Chef stove (now discontinued) that has 15K btu burners. They now have portable units with either 10K burners or 20K (Everest HO model, about $89 at Amazon) burners. I also have a larger Camp Chef with dual 30K burners which are very powerful but difficult to simmer with. I also use a single 80K btu burner for boiling lots of water. You can buy a 210,000 btu KAB4 Banjo burner for about $100.
On the other hand, my SMEV cooktop is designed for more careful cooking and has burners of 3700 and 5900 btus which are great for lower altitude simmering, frying and cooking.

PS -
I've been gone for several years, but I'm back now and no, the trailer isn't done, yet.
I'm not dead, yet. I'm feeling better.
