Hmmmm, wonder how hard it would be to make the mount height adjustable so you could use it as a low coffee table or an eating table,,,, or fold down. Very cool table!! I gotta try that blue light idea,, I'm up most of the night every night and its taking its toll!

Height adjustable ... Naaa!!! Trying to keep it simple ... We’ll just measure the best height and be done with it ... ;)

Got my “painting” clothes on , ready to get that done ... Rain stopped so the paint should dry more quickly ... But before the painting , we‘ll do the final test fit , make sure everything works as planned ...

Something the wife requested was a clothesline .... One of those retractable thingies’ that mount on a wall ... I’m guessing she means inside ...? Never thought about that .

Still have to finish the potty area , which includes making a “privacy” curtain , installing a hand towel and TP holder, and maybe a bit of linoleum in that area ? A little shelf between the ribs to hold bathroom things , Easy to place a panel between the bottom of two ribs ... instant magazine rack ... Down to the “little things” now . Still trying to add as Little weight as possible ... All these little bits here and there are starting to add up ... :frightened:

Did your carpet have a dead body rolled up in it at one time? ;)

Thank you for asking that George, I kinda wanted to ask it too

It will work fine for the FS I wouldn't want to have it as an every day in the living room carpet but Glen, it will work for the FS, I want to see it in person though. I kinda bet we had better :MLAS and keep the carpet ideas to ourselves.

Actually I picked that rug out ... Thought it looked like Modern Art ... ... We had it in the house for a while and the wife said she wanted a Round rug in the house instead ... so .... (I think secretly she didn’t like it ) Fine in the FS ... It’s already an eclectic collection of clearance items and things salvaged from the “storage”/Laundry room .. Not exactly Better Homes (Trailers) and Gardens .... :R But Fine for EVAC , and whatever... :D

Ps. Took the table back apart , did some final sanding and started painting ... drying now ... tomorrow , a second coat ... I did however put an oil finish on the crossbar where the table attaches to the ribs .... it’s a nice piece of Black Limba , and thought it a shame to paint over it .... a ‘touch of wood” for trim ...

That table looks great! Not that this is a brand new idea, but it is very well executed. I think I will have to store that idea in the back of my head. You never know when an idea like that will come in handy. If not on this foamie, the next one. I'm leaning on the wife for the next one already. I want to prove by empirical evidence that this whole foamie building thing is a sound concept and allow me to build the next one which I'm thinking might be a rebuild of a fifth wheel in foam. A Foamie 5'er...

Table looks great!
As soon as I saw the pic of the table today I had an idea, you could hinge it on a dowel through the framing holes, add a second dowel lower for the support.
This way you could move the table around the foamstream wherever its needed using the framework holes as the mounting point.

Thanks Guys , it’s just some scraps I had laying around ... just seemed better than a solid table we’d have to move around ay sleepytime' ... Good idea about the dowel and the rib holes ...
Going to try to paint some more today .... but have an eye Doctor appointment , a quest for the perfect B-day cupcake (only one allowed on my diet ) , and band practice tonight .... Busy day ...

Mel, the wife still a non -believer ??? :o

Thanks KC , I ’m just extremely Happy to have lived so long ... :o :D

Primed the top of the table (gripper) , in an unusual way .... by dabbing the paint on , rather than the usual brushing ... It leaves a nice Textured finish , more like a naugahide ,which should be fine on the table .... I’ve done this with many amp cabinets and it does make a durable finish that hides many sins .... easy to touch up too... just dab some more paint on ... ;) Here’s everybody trying to get a smoother finish , and I’m trying to make it more textured ... :R
