Not legal yet , have to tow it out to the State Police for a ‘trailer stamp” , then to DMV for the registration .... We have No temporary plates here, and the cops always look for the ones that say “License applied for “ .. Shouldn’t be a problem as it’s the same with the wooden TD we first built ... The inspecting officer only inspected my paperwork and didn’t even look at the trailer ... I figured at least he’d give it a once over and make some safety recommendations , but No ... Just the paperwork ...

Here in MI it's pretty much the same, state just wants their money. There isn't even an inspection, just paperwork.

Yes, all about the Money ... and not much of that either .... I think they want to make sure the trailer wasn’t stolen ... a lot of trailers disappeared after Katrina, the boats washed away , insurance covered them, and the owners just left the trailers out on the street , and some (a good many) were absconded with... The paperwork is all they really want for proof .... and the Money ... ;)

Ned , it will be nice to get it Legal. The wife’s been on me about that ...a lot :o
I know it may seem silly and pointless to make something we hope we never need to use ... But having it will give me a little more flexibility , as now I’ll have a place to stay for things like outta’ town Art shows ( a chance to pick up a few bucks) , band jobs where we finish too late to drive home a great distance , and just visiting friends in other places. Not in a rush to do any of those , but it’s nice to be ready for it ...
Reason I haven’t immediately run out to SP is, it’s been WINDY !!! Really Windy !!! :frightened: So why take a chance ? ... I’ll just wait for a nice day ... no worries ! ;)

Ps. Curious thing , it’s just a nice place to sit and think .... Found myself several times just sitting inside , coffee in hand , thinking about Foamie' trailers. Very relaxing , and Quiet !!! The “meditation “ room ... ;) more multitasking .... it might prove useful after all ... :o

That's a good name for a light weight camper, "The Think Tank".

So get the rest of the legalities done and you can come out to the Sierras for a visit. I'll let you park the FS in my driveway and you can give your insulation a real world test. I'll even run an extension cord out to you... :) :D 8) I'm sure your heater will do great job of keeping the FS warm. My little catalytic heater warms the Road Foamie in just a few minutes and it stays warm all night. We keep a vent or window cracked open all night to keep the oxygen levels up and the CO2 down.

Drove across the river today on our “high bridge" ... winds gusting to 40mph .... it was no time to be out towing the un-ballested FoamStream ... My pickup was all over the road ... :frightened: Winds won’t last forever... ;) Perhaps another day ...

WG, I haven’t weighed it as yet ... Hope to find a place to do that soon ... I’m just guesstimating it’s under 1000# ... from what we put in it ...and I can still pull it by myself across the gravel driveway with my HF trailer dolly ...
With all the commotion of turning 65 , I forgot to check my drivers license , and that’s expired ... :o
Going to be visiting the DMV very soon ... and driving there very carefully ... We didn’t receive an expiration notice like we usually do , and when we contacted DMV , they said I’d just have to pay a $35 late fee... All about the Money eh ...
