I went for simple, two sheets of steel roofing, simple, light, and tough.
I made a simple deck of wood (scrounged from around here and crates from work) then screwed the steel to it.
keeping the ends from ripping up in the wind took some thought, I settled on conduit legs. they are pinned above and below each anchor ring so they can't lift in the wind, and also can't sag under a snow load.
I put weights on the corners before drilling the conduit legs for the pins, the for and aft beams are kept in an arc by the legs, so the water will run off each end easier.
I didn't get a picture until after dark today, so it isn't as clear as it could be.
