Yes, it is Devil Dog. I wondered how long that would take. Semper Fi, OOORA!

In my opinion you guys down there should be getting a drive on to get Igor's Garlic Clove to reopen. Some of the most fun food I had done there. Although I'm sure part of it was sitting at the street and watching the trollies go by and eating their bread pudding. Katrina screwed up a lot of things.

Which is how all this TTT business got started in the first place ... Getting out of town for a storm !!! And having a place to quietly stay (camp) most anywhere in a friends driveway or backyard... ( some of my friends have BIG backyards :o ) ..
Although we’ve yet to have a “test campout” , I’m sure the FS will be quite livable and a comfortable retreat ...when needed... The wife even likes it ... that’s half the battle ...

Now then , a couple of little issues have come up... The coupler is old and the inner parts are nasty rusted :o ... was looking at cleaning it up , but it may be better to cut that one off and weld on a new one ... and a proper set of safety chains...
And, my brain addled by the summer heat , I forgot to put the floor bolt in the very tip of the nose > steel bracket (HF) > trailer frame ... Would have been easy during the build , but now will be a little tricky , locating the hole ... :duh: Not really necessary , but it does “solidify" the nose ... and we still need to weld on the bracket .... best accomplished when we weld on the new coupler ... more to do ... Like KC said ... it’s the “details” ...

yup. it's all the little things ;) ;) But at this point since its well functioning, things are accomplished at a more leisurely pace. There will always be a to-do list, you can just get to it when the mood suits you. :D :D My big "project" for the Road Foamie since she's away for the winter... a box for the porta-potti!!

Since there isn't room in the Road Foamie for the porta potti, we set it up in a shower tent just outside the trailer. Good for midnight relief runs. There are those who have one built into the trailer and have created a partition of one sort or another for privacy and ummm, well... the stink factor. I went for a pretty deluxe porta potti, (Tedford Curve) there are those who have gone much more basic. You can use a lined five gallon bucket with a seat designed to fit on top and kitty litter... There are probably a half dozen ways I've heard of it being done. You gotta balance the gross out factor with the convenience of it all. We can now go camping anywhere and not just at the campgrounds with flush toilets. Just my 2 cents worth

The stink factor  .... we’ve all become so "sanitary” ... kinda’ makes you wonder what the “stink factor" was like when , not so long ago, people didn’t bathe often , there was no deodorant, and the streets were filled with horse sh** ... :frightened: And there were no porta' potties ... or toilet paper ... It wasn’t “gross” to them , just everyday s**t ... Funny how we disassociate ourselves from all the rest of the biological machines on this small planet ... All seemingly made to convert plant and animal flesh into fertilizer, and transport water from place to place ...

Installed the dryer vent .... on the house ... even with the wife helping , I didn’t even curse or throw anything ... :R  EASY!!!!! ... used Great Stuff to seal it ...

Going to get another one this week and put it in the FS... Got some computer fans ... we’ll see if we can “marry“ the two ... Guess that’s acceptable these days ... :o
Ps. also going to get a 4” hole saw (if they make one?) .... that seems to be a good size for Foamie work ...
