That , and I had to pass through a metal detector , and naturally kept setting it off.. thought I’d have to strip right there.. had to even remove my belt ... :frightened: ... Not like I was taking a flight or anything , I was just there to get my Free Ken DL renewed... Sheeesh !!! This homeland security bit has gone a little too far ... Nothing worse than a ( fill in here) with a whistle

Sheesh indeed!!! Where I am, they don't even have a little half height door between you and the clerks. There is the frame for one, but it was removed. Oh yeah, line length. I think I've actually waited behind another a couple times, and two once. Nice small county setup. We have less than 8,000 people in the whole county, and that's dropping every year.

I've had a few visits from the fluffy stuff and am expecting more today. It's turned all crusty. I could do without the cold. It's been down to 5.

( some of my friends have BIG backyards :o ) ..
495 acres in my "back" yard... Some of it is flat enough to park a trailer or 10.

I've been buzzy lately. The harvest and all sapped allot of time. Still a little to do, but the combine is broke. It's owner is waiting on parts arrival. Then it needs to get warm enough to melt off some of the snow still on the stalks.

Ps. windows cracked open 1/2” (just for Safety) ... caused no problem with the heating , and once it got warm , I didn’t want to leave

Hey GPW. I never knew yu could get sub freezing!  I guess just for a change of pace, I'm the warm one and you're over there freezing. I get to spend this entire week in a beach side condo. The highs have been high 60's and low 70's. It was easier and cheaper for the family to get together near San Diego than to try and bring them home. It's been really nice and except for the fact that I couldn't afford to live near the beach and EVERYTHING gets destroyed in the salty air, I remember why the wife and I once thought of moving down this way. A very relaxing Thanksgiving week but Monday morning it's back to the grind. :( :(

Yeah, going to be cold here too this week and next. Colder than what it usually is this time of year.

A bit of topic and all that GeeP, but since you be an artist and all . . . Came across this a day or so ago and thought it might just be something you would find interesting. Took me a couple seconds to visualize what they were talking about, but once it clicked it made perfect sense. One explanation for photo-realistic paintings and perfect color matching.

By the way, all you babies complaining about a little chilly weather. Just start checking the weather for MN coming up. And a couple weeks ago we had towns up north like Thief River Falls that barely made it up to zero by noon. Why, when I was your age . . .

The weather ... who really knows , and who isn’t telling ... ? Starting to warm up a bit again here... Thankfully !!!
In the old days , nobody knew anything , nowadays we only know what they tell us , and half of that is speculation , the other half outright “BS"... :o To manipulate , rather than inform (advertising, lobbying) ...
Same with Art ... which is merely an idea until executed, then becomes just an Opinion !!! Popular Art is just another vehicle for making MONEY!!! (and usually Not by the Artist) They tell you it’s Great Art , you pay the money ... enough people believe it , and they put it in a museum ... and the price goes up ... (does this sound a bit like Wall Street ? )
Devices or not (artists have used them for many years ), it still takes a great deal of skill to paint anything worth being called “Beautiful” ... and a little imagination too ... and a Whole LOT of decisions... And just because it looks photographic , doesn’t necessarily mean it’s great art...but that kind of thinking can be taken wrong , so we end up with “contemporary Art” which requires No skill, just a Good explanation , and a high price tag ... Nobody I know likes it (not saying that some pieces aren’t really Super) ... but somebody is making a Big Profit off of it ... and again , usually Not the artist...
Art , for me , was never about becoming “precious” , merely a means of putting food on the table and a roof overhead... and financing my many and varied “other” projects ... Like Foamie trailers ... :D ;)
But then that’s all just an opinion too eh ? Believe what you will !!! Cosmically ,it don’t mean (your word here) eh !

Apologies for the rambling .... It’s early , chilly , and I’m working on my first cup ... grrrrr!!! :coffee:

Technical question . . . What does it mean when you keep seeing this (-) in front of the temps for area on the weather channel? I'm thinking it's not a good thing since it's in front of the temperature forecasts for my area.

Randy , I’ve always wondered why apples don’t grow around here... ?

45F here now ... but it stopped raining , for a little while ... Supposed to rain all weekend ..... Thinking if this was further North , this would be the old White Stuff... :frightened: So no trailer work this weekend.... But checking on the FS , still nice and DRY inside ... No leaks , and as it turns out a great place for a quick warm up ... This time of year , I’m forever “chilled” and a few minutes in the FS with the heater on is really Nice for the old bones... Doesn’t take long to get really warm , now seemingly at any outside temperature, here anyway ... (Note: not tested < 40F) As we get into Deep Winter , heat testing (therapy) will continue ... This the first time we’ve had a trailer big and comfortable enough to “hang out” in ... Kinda’ Fun really ... makes me feel like a kid again ... :D

Apples need some cold weather or they will not produce. I imagine some varieties are able to produce in warmer weather than others.

If I had FS here I could go camping. It is about 10 degrees this morning, light snow and a bit of wind. Time to lock the hubs in.
