I've considered going. It looks like fun. It's an arty/hippy thing for sure. If noise, dust, hippies, fire, art, staying up all nite, loud music or weed (or drinking) bother you, then stay home.
The Airstream folks have a presence and their own "village". There are lots of recommendations on the web - taping all your windows and vents is one - on how to "survive" it.
It would definitely be better to go as a caravan and stay with your own kind. Circle the wagons so to speak.
