The other project I'm working on right now is a pair of tongue boxes for the front of the trailer. Since my trailer is a V front I'm planning on putting two trailer tongue boxes on the front with a LP bottle between them. There is also a possibility that these boxes could hold up to 4 6V golf cart batteries in the future (two in each box, close to 300 lbs total), so I need to make sure the mount is plenty sturdy. I also measured how much clearance I have between the truck and trailer when the trailer is 90 degrees to the truck to make sure I won't hit the boxes when backing. With these boxes I only have a little over 1" of clearance when jackknifed.
Here is one of the boxes I will be using. They are from Harbor Fright I've only bought one so far, but for the price, they seem to be great quality. Especially since I'm using 20% coupons when I buy them

I think I will bedliner the front of them though to make sure they stay looking good for a few years.

Here is the beginning of the frame. It will be clamped to the 2x4" steel tongue of the trailer. It is made from 10ga 2x2 square tube.
