thanks, progress has been slow. I was reprimanded for spending to much time working on the camper. The only thing accomplished in the past 2 weeks were me cleaning, organizing and vacuuming the inside. and a coat of stain on the interior shelf that housed the fridge(only because the wife was at work yesterday).

yeah, and since the camper isn't finished, and it's cold outside. I figured it would be wise to heed her warning. I would hate to have to sleep in there right now. then I would have to change the name to "THE DOG HOUSE" :rofl2:

a little progress this weekend. I have 5 of the 6~ 3/4" white LED lights installed and wired in the cabin. and I have filler applied to the inside corners of the ceiling joints. but, it was humid as heck and cool this weekend, and the filler (water based) did not want to dry. I also had a couple of people that were driving by the house stop and talk with me about the camper and asked if it was ok to check it out. and Thursday, we had a false alarm on a house fire (dryer vent producing steam), and the Fire Department was checking the camper out.

I haven't been posting to much lately. I have been working on filling the corners of the ceiling, and with the high humidity and cooler temperatures. it has been taking a long time for the water based filler to set up. here are some pics of the front area with one coat of primer. and you can see I still have some pin holes to fill. I had bought a cheapo plastic 1" putty knife and rounded the end to help give me a radius in the corners. And I have all 6 of the LED lights installed. it should give a decent amount of light and I am going to have a a larger 72 led light for brighter light.

the plan for the windows is as follows. I am going to use some 12"x12"x1/4" square lexan and sandwich between the the outside skin and the interior skin using trim rings and some butyl sealant. I am hoping to have the Lexan ordered by friday.

after a test "cut out" of the rear windows with 2~ 12" diameter windows, I decided it would look much better with one larger 12"x 33" oval port hole style window. and with the rear wall being 1 1/2' framing, I was able to use 2 layers of 5/8" ply wood to achieve a 1 1/4" space to press the 1/4" Lexan window to the outer skin. hopefully this weekend I will be able to buy some 1/4" ply and start skinning the roof. and rear outer wall. and just to make things move backwards. I am going to reshape the front outer wall to add a little more style.

well, it turns out it is only a 2 way fridge. but it is still better than just a 120v unit

after running around all day, I decided to cut out the rear window opening on the outer skin. had the rear skin temporarily installed and a pilot hole to use my flush cut router bit to zip around the window cut out. after smelling the router fry, I took the 2 year old router apart, and it was fried. off to the pawn shop and found a older "Made in USA" Craftsman router for $30. and zipped the window opening out.

I also started on the roof skin and the dreaded rear upper corner radius. I think I have them sorted out and will share pics later.

I also have the 58 Chevy Biscayne tail light housings mocked up and would love some input on the placement.

a little bit of work done this week, after working 10 hour days and a 1.5 hour drive home. I try and not fire up any power tools after it gets dark, but, I'm sure my neighbors hate me on the week ends when the table saw cranks up at 7:30 am.

sorry about the nasty pic.
