OMG, Kody, I feel for you. After laying on my back for 2 days, smearing roofing pitch on the bottom of my new teardrop, I laid in bed for 3 days with a pinched nerve, due to the fact that my 81 year old spine couldn't handle that kind of abuse anymore. My inner thigh felt like it was on fire and the front of my leg was absolutely numb. Even the bed sheets and lightweight shorts, were too much for me to handle and after a month of unbelieveable pain, Kaiser set me up with a physical therapist that got me started in the right direction. I spent 2 weeks going over there getting the 'pinched nerve treatment', which began the healing process right away. They turned me onto a great book, which I feel put me on the road to recovery. Go to the library and check it out, or buy one, it has a wealth of information. I now have the necessary exercises that I do, in order to maintain and enhance my recovering back health.
I'm not trying to promote any book sales, but honestly, this book entitled "Treat Your Own Back" by Robin McKensie, explains the necessity of maintaining the much-needed curvature in the spine, plus displays the various exercises needed to do so. This spinal curve is called the "Lodoris" and is so important to maintain, in order to promote good spine and nerve health. (that is why a lot of us old-timers hunch over and have rounded shoulders). I was instructed to always sit upright in a chair, using a soft roll of foam rubber between my beltline and the chairback, plus use it while driving the car with it in place. I don't know if this helps you, but in the very least, it is worth checking out. My back is now absolutely pain free, and without proper treatment and this, all inportant information, IRG 5 would have been out of the question for me this year. Good luck on your quest to regaining your back and leg health, that kind of pain is almost unbearable, I know, since I have only experienced only a portion of what you are going through. Hang in there! I'm sure that proper rest and following the doctor's instructions, will get you back on the right track. Teardrop building can wait.

The So Calif old-timer, planning on IRG 14, 18 years from now, when I am 100 :-) (gotta think positively)_
