You could always leave a false trail by leaving printouts and sketches lying around of small scale bogus projects... stuff like mug racks, chopping boards etc.... She might still wonder what the hecks going on when you walk up the drive with a sheet of 8x4!

Thankfully if I tell her im working on something for her, she will not try to go snooping.....so when the garage door is up, she is inside the house with the curtains drawn tight. lol.
Her curiosity is defenitly up.... with all the lumber being bought. lol, the sheet of 8x4.....Yeah should have her completely confused. lol

The way your moving, you will be done pretty quick. Unless teardrop time gets a hold of you . Great start.

I hope to keep up the speed.....But im sure it is inevitable, at some point teardrop time will get ahold of me.....I already neglected mowing this weekend...got to do it after work today. But I plan to push as hard as I can and stay moving on it. Time will tell.

So Friday nite I went to Harbor Freight, got wood clamps, saw bucks, a seat, and a roller stand. I also wanted to give a shout out to Rahn, my Favorite Harbor Freight Rep that helped me out getting some things.
Then on to Home Depot to get some Birch ply wood for the walls, and a Belt Sander, Router, and Biscuit Jointer....Wow, This project is starting to feel like Christmas.

So, I didnt get out to the garage on Saturday till about 3:15pm. I started in on trimming and fitting the top layer of the floor. After I got that done I then disasembled the floor to the first layer of the 1/4 inch ply wood and put the lidquid nail glue down for the floor joist.

Then next I glued the foam insultion, I did have to make a run to Walmart for more Lidquid Nail Glue....it just doesnt go as far as I thought......Then screwed all the joist down to the first layer of plywood.

Spread the glue with a notched trowel (cheap plastic one will do, or even cut your own... I use fake credit cards that come in the junk mail). The glue will go further and it will give you a better bond.

Next I opened up the new Biscuit Jointer to joint together the top layer of flooring. The instructions that came with it was, "use white wood glue that is water based so that the biscuits will swell and expand, making a strong joint." So while at Walmart I also picked up some Gorilla Wood Glue......Hey, nothings stronger that a Gorilla, So it ought to keep the joint nice and strong...Lol

Great Idea......Wish I would have thought of that sooner......I will have more gluing to do.....and I think I have a notched, ridged trowel.

After making the slots with the Jointer. I then glued the 2nd layer of the Joist and Insulation. At all the joints where the Joist met each other, I put a bead of Glue. Then laid the 3rd layer on top, glued the biscuits and joints, And Screwed everything down tight.

And Finally finished up....all jointed together, and screwed down.

I also laid out the plywood for the wall, and drew out the profile lines. This Weeks Goal is to, (Take the floor off the frame, and glue the aluminum to it. Put back on the frame, bolt to the frame. Then get the walls cut out and temporaily fastened to the floor.)
