Well, I did a lot of research after we ordered our T@G. Yeah, I know great time to think about it. I had issues with generators and the wife has issues with heat. Since we are on the coast in San Diego, we have the beach RV camp sites and a short trip to the desert so we will get one.
I don't like carrying gasoline, I hate the smell of engine exhaust, what I found was a propane conversion kit, and though I am sure I can install one - the best deal was a preinstall on a Yamaha that did not void the warranty. Not just that, the local dealer wanted more than the price of the preconfigured shipped from the east coast! I also like the Yamaha because you can add an extension easily for the exhaust and port it to area away from the truck bed where I plan on mounting mine. Also electric start add for free, a tuning system for altitude changes.
But if you go for something different, I would still suggest the propane conversion kit. Bonus, works with natural gas if the home is in a power outage.
