Bought myself a brad nailer and went to work making some drawers for the TD

putting some more cabinets together tonight :)

think i need a regulator for my compressor so i can dial the pressure down for the brad nailer, as i'm blowing right through the 3mm ply...

It's amazing how quickly things start to take shape. Keep up the momentum
yes you do need a regulator, most of those things run at 90 psi.
We are heading through Auckland with TD today :D

Going south right? after the bridge, once you go through the under bridges at spaghetti, you should see a big rusty building to the left, the ironbank building. I'll be looking from the top floor, middle office of 3 :) looking forward to it haha!

and my PCBs turned up for the light controller. Basically just an 8 channel dimmer for LED lights but will also allow me to remote control it from a key fob, or even my phone. Will make it just a 'dumb' switch for now, but can upgrade the code later to do cool things like phone control :)

didnt get as much done as i wanted unfortunately :( everything just takes longer than expected...

made the floor and mounted it. It over hangs the trailer by 5mm each side, and the walls have slots routed in them for the floor overhang to give it some more strength by adding glue and pocket screws galore.

Here the walls are mocked up

Also managed to prepare a lot of the galley panels, so cut holes in them and cut some insulation. Made a make shift hot wire cutter with a car charger and some nichrome wire which works ok. Need to use my lab power supply instead as the car charger doesnt have enough volts to get the wire hot enough for big spans.

Glued some of the inner walls on, and should be good to mount the walls next weekend, and build the cabinets, ready for the outer walls and ceiling! and then the end will be in sight! (maybe)

Cut out some foam yesterday. Fixed the silly cutter i made by adding a spring, as the nichrome wire stretches HEAPS when it got hot.

Image

Clamped it to the side of the trailer to get it 15mm above the top of the trailer so i could feed the 30mm foam through to get 15mm pieces to fit in the 17mm wall. Figured that will be sufficient...
