Ah, weight. Right, exactly. I have an unshakeable tendency to overbuild. You all need to slow my roll before I
do build a tank.
Okay, so maybe they don't all go into this project, but they'll find a home somewhere.
Pillow lights, nice idea. I also have an image of a whole little forest of flashers and running lights sticking out somewhere. I'm not worrying about that level of detail yet, though..
Here's my question for the day: I'm trailer shopping, and pretty much everything is in the 800 to 1000 range for 5x10s. A couple down around 700 got snapped up or were too far away. I'm looking at a nice, nearly-new Big Tex 5x10 that is listed at 1300 but I hope to get down to 900 or so before I'd even think about it. But in general, what do people pay for these trailers? (again, if I had a year of lead time, I'd just poke around until I got a free one, but those leads aren't going to present themselves in the time I have. I hate moving fast, but I'm allowing myself this rush so that I can slow way way down after I take off..). Here's the posting:
http://newhaven.craigslist.org/hvo/4941387471.htmlThe big luxury is not having to drive 3 hrs out and back like some of the others... What do people think? I don't have time for a restoration, so I'm willing to pay for something that I know will work
In the next month? I'm scrounging for parts. I'm a professional knife sharpener and I scheduled a bunch of gigs to finance this. I got hooked up with a marine ply supplier so I'm driving to Boston to get some slightly imperfect stuff at deep discount. I'm finishing school and studying with a Grade A machinist I've recently had the good fortune to run into. Walking the dog in the park (that's her, getting a hamburger, in my avatar), and etc. A welding job in Maine at the end of April. on and on. Mostly scheming about this, though...
More soon, and thanks
