low-n-slow wrote:Hello all, I have been lurking for a little while and have been wanting to do a build. I have decided on using the Generic Benroy design and make a 5x10. I will be building my own trailer in a few days. I am still trying to decide on what I want for a cabinet/kitchen design as well as the living compartment. I will continue to look on here and scab some ideas from other members.

Welcome. Make sure you take a peak at Alaska Benroy's build.
viewtopic.php?f=50&t=61738 We had a 4x10 for many-many years until my wife and I ran across a 5x10 in the local grocery store parking lot and got a tour. A foot of width is a big deal. I was ordering hardware for ours the following week. I like a "working galley" that's simple and effeicient. I stole the concept from our first (commercial built "Hunter").

But you'll find lots of galley pics on this forum. They are ALL great. I swear by the 7 gallong Reliance water jugs at the bottom. Pull 'em out over the lip and you've got running water.
Staggered shelves with 3" lips on the rear interior:

And slider storage with a shelf at the head:

Enjoy your build and happy trails.
