Laminated structural insulated panels

Postby Bad4Fun » Wed May 31, 2006 3:56 pm

Where can I get this type of material for wall and bulkhead
construction..Need to save as much weight as possible.

Could have aluminum outer skin..Insulated core.
or honeycomb construction...preferred insulated.

Maximum 2" thickness..would be great if I could get 5' x 9'
panels or 5' x 5' something along those lines.

Any Ideas....????

G, you will find that the same subjects/ideas come up onna regular basis...this is one of them but unless you can make 'em yourself there is no way to get an appropriate made/sized panel that is affordable commercially....

Sorry guys, I know better than to through out a topic
without searching first for past threads of the same
nature..

Anyway thanks to those who added two cents...And
madjack, I think you are right on, to get exactly
what I want I will have to fabricate it myself.

b4f...don't worry about throwing out an idea that may have been discussed...somebody who wasn't here then may have new info/ideas to toss into the rink...the idea is a good one and commercial RV manufacturers use the technique almost exclusively...the link Auntie M gave you is a good one if you should wanna tackle the problem yourself...lotssa good info contained in it..........
