Converting Cargo Trailers into TTTs

Started installing the cabinets.

Also got the bag awning mounted... not sure I like it yet.. It's so high (to clear the door) that I'll need a ladder to put it away/roll it out.

Nice work so far! Can't wait to see the finished product!.

BTW, what are you taking picture with? It is hard for me to get any perspective on my interior with a regular digital camera or cell phone. Do you have a special lens or something?

Just a Samsung S5. I sometimes use the panoramic view mode.

Best CHEAPEST place is Amazon with Prime.

They get them to you in two days, free with Prime, for under 130.00 each.
Best price outside of amazon was near 200 with shipping.

Link to manufacturer

The tanks on amazon go in and out of stock, just be patient. check every few days.

Thank you RetchedOne,
I'm getting closer to starting my build, just trying to get things together. Hopefully I can start in Fall after the heat and get mostly done before the snow. That leaves me about 2 weeks here in Montana.

Making good progress...
The bed/storage/rear wall are shaping up.
Electrical is in and working. Just need to trim out the lights after the ceiling panels are finished.

A/C is in and working!!!

Poop tank is permanently mounted and the "load" sensors installed.

Hoping to be done in 10 days for camping in 12 :)

AC is IN and cools down the trailer nicely, even without the ceiling/rear wall finished yet.
AC is a used Coleman Mach 3 13,500 BTU.

Runs on my Champion 3100 Inverter generator just fine, still quiet too, honda.. pft...

Getting close...

Plumbing tests good with one small drip... course I hooked the pump up backwards.... :?

Water tank checks OK
Propane works, no leaks.
Water heater heats water.

Still hoping to be done Wednesday...
Need to finish the cabinet drawers and doors.
Fix a small water drip (Like 1 drip every 15 minutes)
Flip the stupid water pump...
Oh and revers the hot/cold on the faucet.. hooked that backwards up too...
Finish the ceiling insulation and panels, hook back up the AC.

Wont have everything 100% done...

Very nice work! Well done. I am in process as well with my CTC Toy hauler, not quite as far along.

I agree! Very well done. I like your layout and the use of the pre-finished plywood. (I love woodworking but absolutely hate finishing wood.)

In reading other posts - so hopefully I be knowledgeable if I someday am able to do a cargo trailer conversion - there have been comments about clearance for tanks and valves. You seem to have plenty of clearance. I know you mentioned the stringer depth helped, but did you "lift" your trailer ("flip" the axles) or is it the way it came from the factory?

Thank you for posting your pictures.

I did flip the axle, so I got an extra 4 inches. This helped tank clearance and trailer ball height.
