How many clamps did you need to build your trailer?

I have pulled in a few favors to amass 46 clamps.

How many did you need?

Not nearly as many as the beers I needed.

Where N is the number you have on hand and you still need 1 more that you have to improvise.

I used about 6 clamps. I also used a "whole bunch" of gravity clamps. Having a solid surface made use of gallon jugs of water practical to use weights when just holding a piece until the glue set was needed.

I did not have enough but after cutting a 3 inch pvc pipe into 20 one inch slices along with the 10 clamps I had I still had to use bricks, water jugs, paint gallon cans and even flower pots.

2 x 4' sash clamps
numerous purpose made wooden beam+blocks+wedge clamps
Threaded rods with all kind of accessories.
Ratchet straps
Many gravity clamps

I'm with you, Mary! A half empty paint can with a stone on top of it becomes more than half full! This was when I was laminating the deck plywood together:



But, I do have about 25 clamps, many of them in use with wood assists, in this picture:



In the end, home trailer builders being people with ingenuity, we find a way to get the job done.
