I've been browsing for over a year now. I started when I was still in the Army at Ft. Lewis, Washington. Just a few months ago I was showing my wife Shaun a TD I really liked, and to my surprise she was all for it. The more I showed her stuff and told her my ideas the more she was getting into the idea of building one. She starting looking at utility trailers differently. We had an opportunity to help an elderly couple with cleaning up there home for them. I notice a couple of trailers out the back of they house and asked him about them. I told him what I wanted to do with. He said you don't want them and I was thinking yes I do. He lives on 230+ acres. He told us to get in his jeep and gave us a tour of his property. He showed me a 10' x 6' enclosed trailer. We are the proud owners of that trailers. I ran out and bought graph paper and started designing my trailer.
I am doing good on my design except for the bunk above the queen bed and table. I just can't figure out what to do with the board for storing it when she isn't sleeping in the bed. It's going to have a refrigerator, sink, A/C, and a toilet. Just for the middle of the night or first thing in the morning when I've got to go. It going to have bamboo flooring and counter top. It looks good and cheap. I am going with wood siding because the siding on it now is kind of beat up, and keeping the tin roof because of the rounded top. I just started working in a cabinet shop doing the doors how convenient.

I got a couple of side jobs I have to finish first and a couple on Shaun's honey do list. The only thing I've been reading and rereading is the electric part of a trailer. It seems to baffle a lot of people. I think I have a plan for it now. I will put it out there when I get to that point of the build.
Thanks for reading,
Greg & Shaun
