That gives me just about 58" for a mattress width and a good 80" for length. Unfortunately, a queen air mattress wants to push out the door opening and puts significant pressure on the door when closed. A full size mattress is too short (I'm almost 6'5").
So, I am looking at making a foam mattress and could use some help with material selection and thickness.
Thanks.

I have the mattress cut to fit tight since we use a fitted sheet on the bottom and two sleeping bags on top.
Trying to tuck in sheets and blankets on a traditional teardrop can be a pain.
Having a gap along the wall will be a crud catcher since camping isn't like being at home.Danny

Works for me!
