I Installed 1 1/2" vent pipe to the outside today.. also note the 30 amp RV inlet, blackwater valve, and new vent cover at almost 8 feet up on the side..

Image

The pipe is simple up the wall and out.. braced with a 1 1/2 x 2 1/2 small stud.. (to be painted later)

Image

I also put panel up above the backsplash and near the door..

Image

and also over by the WFCO 'power center'..

Hi Al,
It looks like many of us had the same idea ...

Just added a second cam-lock and use the same lock to lock door latch open ... It keeps the jokers from locking the back door; I also added the RV side door... Doing great, keep up the good work

So the 12"x24" window came in from vintek (teardroptrailerparts).. with a 1 13/16" trim ring.. I have 1 1/2" total wall width then the 3/16" thick paneling.

It has about 1/2" rubber gasket and flange all the way around..

Image

I cut the trace 2x on cardboard that the window came in.. just to be sure..

Image

Then I cut the hole.. I covered the jig saw with blue tape to keep chatter marks down.. Heres the window balanced in the bare metal..

Image

The I slid the insulation back in.. to mark that.. and cut..

Image

Then I marked the inner 3/8"' drymax by putting it in place with 3 screws..

Image

Then I cut that..

Image

I used some clear silicone on the rubber gasket to install..

Image

Here is the inside flange/trim ring.. and the paneling up..

Image

The only issue was the #8 x 1/2" ss screws.. they rounded out easy and I had to run out and grab replacements for them.. just stressful when all goes well with cutting and the the screws.. screw you..

Thanks Ranier.. I try to do detail so others can read a step-step..

Today I cleaned the building materials debris from inside.. and recycled the luan trim strips for the top edges of the paneling..

I left about 1/4" near the top edges to slide in something for a ceiling..

Image

The Mr Heater Buddy 4000/9000 btu took the trailer temperature from 38 to 70 the other night as a test.. I then turned it off..

I have the Mr Buddy 20# tank hose coming in for it.. It works great if you keep it near a vent and/or vent the window about an inch..

Image

Don't mind the new 4000/3500w genny and spare.. 8)

Image

Also installed the 'stab jacks'.. rated @ 1000 lbs each..

Image

Still waiting on WireMold outlets and brackets for the rear outlets on the L/R.. Also waiting on the 'hose', and the CO2 sensor/alarm..

I need to get a carpet and padding in like 6x7.. I keep checking HD/Lowes for 'scraps.. and floor molding..

Alllllmost done..

Raining today (but like 55'f)..

Today I bought the better $55 'oak' accordion door from Lowes for the bathroom.

Image

And some $20 carpet in 6x8 and $20 padding.. also got some trim molding for it..

Padding feels nice under there.. and will help insulate the 'living area' some.. Still need a trim strip..

Image

Overall a decent small project day.. now to make lasagna..

Yuppers.. Thats where I got the idea.. but I am doing it inside the PINNED driver side rear door..

2x of the AL are 6' tall and then attached to the floor frame and the top of door framing..
2x of the AL will be horizontal to tie it together..

A/C will be removed for travel and will only be 40" +/- off the floor.. its the Fridg 5000K model..

The hatch is to cover the outside hole neatly..

I also have 2x of the AL to go horizontal on the outside of the door (just above and below the hatch, and it will be 'lagged' all the way thru the door to the inner horizontal AL framing..

Its basically going to frame out like a window inside with the AL and some 2x3 wood as well for addition support under the AL.. When the A/C is the hole, I just wingnut the edges into the framing..

I'm going to prefab the whole thing to get fitment correct.. then cut the hole for the hatch, then install the inner frame.

Today the 'wiremold' items/parts came in via Fed Ex..

I used 2 of the 12ga (20 amp) circuits in the WFCO breaker box.. 1 on each side in the 'living area', each circuit is separate..

I have a total of 5 of the 20 amp circuits (all 12/2+g).. 1 for the counter top, 1 for the fridge, 1 for the water heater, and these 2 in the rear.

Image

Image

Also in the Buddy 10' propane hose adapter for 20# tanks.. and the 25' RV 30 amp cord to go to a plug at campground TT-30 or my generator (which has a TT-30).

Merry Christmas everyone.

Today I did the 'eye bolt' trick to secure the side door in the open position to avoid being locked in when I'm inside.

I also put down a carpet/floor strip and installed the CO2 monitor/alarm.

My sons over for a week.. so things are quiet..

Metal due in Tues/Wed and so is the 'cargo baggage door'.. going to see if my son will help on that project.. :?

My 14x22(x2") hatch came in today.. Inside opening is 12 1/2" x 20 1/4".. Seller had said 12" so I was stressing.. :o

Image

Heres the 5K Fridg A/C slid in/thru it.. I have a 1/2" - 3/4" of height/wiggle room. Hatch was like $52 total with shipping and looks NEW..

I will be swapping the standard KEY lock for a barrel type lock..

Image

The 2" flange on the hatch will get me thru the door and onto the AL channel (which also came in)..

Now to work with the AL inside frame..
