Long time lurker, first time poster...

We live in the Comox Valley...the kind of place people elsewhere save up all year to vacation in.
So pretty blessed with terrific camping and outdoor type things to do.

We have been tent campers all our lives together (40+) but as we enter our "Metamucil and Memories" stage wanted something to help us continue to camp but wasn't a RV.

We wanted to not sleep on the ground, not get up from the ground and to avoid the set up/tear down each time we moved.
What better to address those wants than a tear drop trailer, right?

Now not to offend anyone but I don't understand having a sink the size of a dog dish and a stove spewing grease and cooking odours into the back hatch when our camping set up has a full sized sink, four propane burners, a charcoal grill, a smoker, a fire pit grate...all set up a distance away from the tent(teardrop).

So we went looking for dirt simple, quality built no frills tear drops.

Much Google, many emails, lots of false starts later I happened on a fellow in Oregon (I don't know the etiquette of promoting him so I'll wait until someone tells me I can or can't) and he put together our teardrop.

Couldn't be happier. Simple, built like a tank, it will extend our camping well into our "Forget if I had porridge or toast this morning" years.

I'm going to try and insert a photo the only way I know hoe on forums (photobucket). If that fails...well I'll figure it out soon enough.

Welcome to the Forum from a fellow Canadian! :applause:
Looks like your trailer is one of Bill's Teardrops North West trailers......and yes they are nice!
Hope you will attend the Farm Gathering in 2016.
And if you are really up for a fantastic adventure with some Teardrop people, you might want to consider joining us for our 2016 Fall Crawl? ;)
This year's Crawl will be held in B.C (possibly extending into Albert, Montana, Idaho, and Washington) and will be hosted by the B.C. Chapter of the Tear Jerkers.
After typing that for the first time......I just realized that with all of those States, the Crawl sounds long??? But, it really isn't.
Oh.....I am the Director for the Tear Jerkers B.C. Chapter and the PNW Chapter.
We would love have you join us in the Fun!
Please PM me if you are interested.

No, the tear is from Dwayne of DNM Teardrops in Eugene.
He's one of the good guys. In my books, anyway.

As for meet ups and etc...we're both still working, me because my wife still is and she because she loves what she does, loves the people she works with and simply isn't ready to stop. She uses all her vacation visiting elderly parents and I've found it way better to work a series of contracts while I wait for her. Trouble with contracts is you do them or lose them...so no extra vacation for me either. Someday tho for sure.

I'll tell you Trip Number One after I convince Mrs.M to retire is the BC Ferry route from Port Hardy on the northern tip of my Island over to Haida Gwai, across to Prince Rupert and then the Alaska Highway up, the Alaska Marine Ferry back down to Rupert and down through Pemberton, Whistler, Cache Creek etc into Vancouver and ferry back across.
