My concern with raising the roof is that the ribs act as rafters which add to the structural strength of the unit. Not just spanning the roof. Holding the walls together too.
I know it can be done. Asking the manufacturer might help too.
Inspiration!

They make a small enclosed trailer being pulled by a Smart car. It is all plastic and you can even buy just the enclosure and put it on a Harbor Freight trailer if that option makes a difference. I have been reading ttnt for a couple of years now (do not post very often) but your question seemed to deserve this particular answer. I have mentioned this manufacture a couple of times on this forum and the response seemed lack luster. Several folks on here have indicated they seem to lack the time, tools, facilities, skills, etc but they still want to enjoy this type of recreation but are held back due to the reasons stated. I already have a 6 x 12 V-nose and 1/2 ton pickup so I don't have as use for this particular brand of trailer. However, if I was in the market for a small lite weight enclosed trailer, this one would be the first one I would look at.
For the record. I have absolutely no connection what so ever with this manufacturer, and only referring them is because it would seem to be another option that may solve the question.
