Foam Nozzle

I saw this on YouTube then checked out the web page. It's just a nozzle that you put on a can of great stuff, or other foam sealant, and it spreads out the foam as you lay it down. Looks like it might work well in some instances for foaming around the curved section, where you have to kerf the foam. If your design allows perhaps this could be used in lieu of the foam sheet. Anyway, I don't know the guy nor do I have any interest in the product, I just thought I'd throw it out there. He sells it on eBay for seven bucks. http://www.eznozzle.com/video-how-to-use/

Just wanted to say a massive thank you for finding this product. Great idea, and opens up all kinds of possibilities for insulating the walls... Especially with a cookie cutter hollow wall design, where you might not be able to get rigid foam the right thickness. Great find

I thought it might be of interest to someone. Another one of those "why didn't I think of that" ideas, that I didn't think of!

Ordered a set of 8 off of ebay, they were really cheap. So on saturday I used a total of 4 cans of the cheap "red can" spray foam that is on every end-cap at Homedepot.

Really impressed with it, went on very easy. 30 min after application the foam was exactly 1.5" thick and was dead even with my roof spars... Then, 30 min later it grew another 1/2" later so I am off to get a large saw blade to start trimming down the excess. Anyways, not a bad option for insulation.

Gonna touch the area up around the wires once electrical is done.

Just one note, wait 24 hours before trying to trim it, I ruined the blade on my pull saw by going to early, got covered in sticky foam goo... Ended up using the blade from a 21" tree saw that harbor freight sells ($6) and it worked great.

Cleanup is easy with acetone (wear disposable rubber gloves).

Does that foam absorb water?

They claim it does not, but from experience it can absorb water. Especially the areas that you shave the outer edge off. I am not that worried, I live in the desert and if water gets in there I probably have much bigger problems.
